my notes on the show in order of the singers.

jena- liked the style of the song but just not her singing it.

dexter- he did good, and he worked it.

malaya- yuck

jessica- i liked it. a bit faster would have been good. these guys dont all know the 80's so i feel bad when the judges lay into them, after a good performance like they did her.

sam- i know he is timid and he is definitely not up there in talent, with the others, but, if you closed your eyes and heard it, it was good. i can see that he would be popular with the teens/tweens. they told him to sing to the girls and not the camera. maybe, just maybe, he doesnt like girls. im just saying.. now days, im surprised they even push them to fit the role. i mean, i agree with them, but what if he is not straight? inside, he may feel awful when they say that. or, maybe, he's so shy, its hard for him to make eye contact. that may be it too.

alex- loved the guitar, and he did a really great job! he is so quirky looking and sounding, just needs a little confidence, but i liked it. the judges hated it and tore him a new one. i felt so bad for him.

3- cj- off key as usual but still love his voice. just not his pitch. he did great later in the song. even got the "goosies" as jalo calls them.

caleb- what? he said he wants to "make some old ladies cry". hmph. not quite the thing to say to get votes. he sounded a little stuffy (nose) at first, and a tad off key but then, he knocked it out of the park! wow!
