The new message is not on the website, it was sent by email:

Dear ____,

I would like to update everyone on what is happening at Natcore in between press releases.
We are currently working with a large Chinese cell manufacturer and equipment manufacturer to best optimize where and how our black silicon process can be integrated into an actual production line. As with many cell manufacturing lines there are several alternatives and we are working to see where our process fits best. We were approached by another manufacturer to do the same thing, but they wanted exclusive rights to our technology in exchange for their help. We are not ready to give exclusive rights to anyone at this time.

We are also working on integrating our black silicon application with a laser technology that will help us put contacts on the back side of the solar cells. This process could create a completely low-temperature manufacturing process which should not only increase manufacturing efficiencies but, equally important, would eliminate much of the toxic waste generated in solar cell manufacturing. We are currently installing our own advanced laser system in our Rochester lab to compliment and augment the work we are doing in this area with the University of Virginia.

Another very positive development is that Natcore has been approached by different groups throughout the world to consult in building solar cell manufacturing facilities. We are creating a best-of-breed capability that will allow us to purchase and integrate the best equipment that exists using current technology. The reason Natcore is of interest to these companies and countries is that in exchange for our being the consultants to these projects the facility would get some type of rights to our technology as it comes online. There are at least three countries involved and I will be more specific when we sign agreements.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
