It makes no sense to me if you assume the ICPT valuation has some validity. If ICPT is worth $5B+, GALT has to be worth at least 10% of that, or $500M. At $12 the valuation is about half.

The only explanation for this would be that ICPT is way overvalued, by 400-500%.

At the end of the day the market has lots of inequity in the short to medium term but eventually finds its way, I think all long term shareholders can rest easy with that knowledge.
