IMO, Fannie and Freddie will be given back all the money, basically stolen from them. Shareholders were robbed, plain and simple. Banks were found guilty and have paid back billions of dollars to FnF, with no guilt on the part of FnF. This is like slavery, and justice will require just compensation to the victims, so CLAWBACKS should be negotiated...well, IMO, the following should happen:

1. Remove FNMA FMCC from conservatorship.
2. Restore FNMA FMCC back to the shareholders.
3. Repay all dividends.
4. PPS must return to prior levels - above $60.

I personally would like to see an appology as well, and yet more, I would like to see accountability and some to pay with prison time for thier part in unethical and illegal actions. Heads should roll, yet none will...everyone will come out smelling like roses, just like with bk airline stock I won...Governments are immune many times and simply want to prove they earn their paycheck. So, really, I don't care as long as they still cannot cause harm to others in a similar situation...

The term clawbacks or claw backs can also be used to refer to any money or benefits that have been given out but need to returned due to special circumstances, which are mentioned in a contract.
