Six years ago I bought into this company. At the time I was advised that this was probably the last share issue that one has the opportunity of buying into because the company was about to go into production. At the time there was also an assurance that there were plenty of companies ready to sign contracts for the supply of the card. Some of these included US defence departments and security organisations.

Since that time I can't begin to try to remember how many false announcements/alarms we've had each one declaring it was all going to happen any moment. We've had all kinds of distractions including waiting for the construction of machinery from Germany to produce the card, waiting for funds to buy additional equipment, negotiations going on with potential contracts, deciding to relocate to South America for less expensive production costs, setting up production machinery in some pristine office (which included some kind of photos of something) the development of something called the MKR, the subsequent failure of that product without any reasonable or declared explanation, the distraction of the bitcoin nonsense, some negotiations with some airline company and some bank in Singapore, the distraction of the litigation against V/MC, which I might add may well be the only bright prospect on the horizon and about the only way we may well make any money out of this. In each of these announcements/delays there was always a long period of wait time. And, that is how easily it is to see six years slip by...many more years for others here.

Very soon this great card will become 'old' technology and the world will have moved on. The rapid rate of innovation of all kinds leaves me breathless. You can argue the defence of the card against some of these including the incorporation of a payments system with mobile phones etc but we didn't need to defend it five years ago. It all adds to the fact the world is not waiting for Smartmetric to produce it's card.

I have been a staunch defender and promoter of this company for as long as I've held shares and where possible have convinced family and friends to buy a parcel or two. Along with others here we defended the company against dingalings like 'Latenightmike' to the extent of being thrown off this site ourselves all because we have believed in SMME. In his first post 'Latenightmike' made a bold statement by declaring ''We've been had dad''. Well I'm trying very hard to convince myself otherwise.

This company and in particular the CEO owe it to we the investors to keep us well informed about the highs and the lows of the company. We have only ever wanted the truth, nothing more or less. Keeping people informed invokes trust so if things are not going according to plan the shareholders understand and accept the problems because they have been informed of them. The silence and the nonsensical PR's does none of that for any of us.

So enough already....
