I cant tell you for a fact that before Katrina they had a facility set up in Cameron, LA to process water from off-shore rigs from oil and gas companies. It was about to go into production when the hurricane hit. This company does have a viable product and definately has contacts with the energy industry. What they have been needing for months was a clear vision on what they were going to do with their technology. In my opinion this is the best possible use of it for several reasons. 1) domestic O&G companies are stepping up activity 2) Barnett Shale is attractive logistically. You can see from the England business what a mess is was to get their units overseas. 3) once they start deploying their units to clean drilling water businesses will begin to see other uses for their technology (i.e. dairy farms, creating potable drinking water, large companies such as Cintas (which BTW was very close to buy their units to process all of their waste water from their plants). This company has alot of potential and great technology, just not the brightest people running.
