This is NOT a forward split. A split would not be viewed as income whereas this one will. There is no paperwork to fill out except payment of a dividend. Instead of giving share holders a 1 time .05 cent cash divy, he's giving 1 share which will have the effect of a 50% increase in the outstanding; therefore, the float will double.

The dividend is from treasury stock right? Free trading, no restrictions, correct??? Titan? Major???

It will be interesting during the next few weeks watching it trade with most investors knowing all prior traders got a bonus share. It's not like Apple doing a 2 for 1 forward split where for every 1 share you now have 2 shares. Forwards are done with the theory that by cutting the price of the stock in half, more investors would be able to afford 100 shares instead of 50 shares, not to mention when you buy under 100 shares of stock you have to pay a higher price.

This is completely different, yet by theory they should both open at 50% of the old price on Ex-Dividend date. I'm keeping cash in my treasury with UHCR reserve label on it.

If you want to win, learn how to play the game.
