NSOMNIYAK CHALLENGE

I use Vectorvest to screen for stocks of growing companies that have a fairly consistent increase in earnings over the past two years, a forecast of at least 20% jump in earnings for 2008 without a jump in pps, and at least 50% undervalued according to VV’s hokus-pokus formula. I cherry pick for DD, and place in different watchlists. These stocks are from my firesale buy list. So far, I only have PDRT and CVV.

CVV: a semi-solar play, PE 11, past price high $8.95, increasing eps over two years from .04-.33; very modest insider buy in December in 3.70 range, but 8 significant institutional holdings, 7 new and 1 with over 80% increase in shares; company expanding in nano-technology, producing silicon solar cells; backlog increased by 104% from second to third quarter of 2007; beginning delivery; new plant opening this month.

GBT: most of you know this one; PE 33, recent price high $8.80, increasing eps over two years from -.04 to .29 forecast for 2008; alternative energy and Olympics should drive this stock.

HIMX: If company is to be believed, great fundamentals; this came up on search for stocks jumping in value by 50%; PE 8.64, recent price high 9.25, .59 earnings forecast for 2008; zero debt, great cash flow; probably slowing growth but semiconductor for panel displays; waaaay undervalued, but pays dividend.

HQS: Have followed this one from before the reverse split. PE 5.6, recent high $12.90. Excellent sales growth, but slow growth company…possibly kind money might move to in this economic environment, eps forecast to increase 300% in 2008 to 1.74 (it needs to!); organic tilapia…I keep watching Wal-Mart for it. I thought this would be safe bet, but with high-end retailer stores having problems TOO, not so sure.

PDRT: This show 2900% eps jump for 2008 on screen. PE 6.65, recent price high $6.90. These stocks have done very well for me when the fundmentals are good. They just aren’t so good on this one. Testing new oil drilling process, and if successful, then must be commercially successful. It’s like holding a biotech stock. Recent insider buy of 10k @ 3.20, and being accumulated by institutions.

ZYNX.ob: You know this one; PE 14.4, recent high 1.48; forecasted eps for 2008 @ .09; excellent sales growth; popular with VMCers.
