Something to think about over the long weekend (I posted this on Yahoo last night):
In December, institutions held just over 60% of the outstanding shares. Sorts were in over 23%. Based upon the clues we've gotten from www.buyins.net, and with the pps trading at straight up book value and the P/E at only 5 times trailing earnings, I would not be surprised to learn that the institutions have increased their holdings this month to near 70% of the O/S. Now, we retailers talk about squeezing shorts all the time but the fact is we small fry just can't conduct an effective squeeze. However, nobody can put together a MOASS like a few coordinating institutions holding almost 70% of the O/S. They know how and when to jump on the shorts and bleed them till they cry. Something to think about...
Good Luck!
