It's New: ___ KIK $500 Charity Sprint
Since I've found that it's (almost) harder to give away $100 than to beat the Patriots, the KIK Contest changes yet again. RMIWA and deathtotaxes both declined their $100 prizes in the previous two PSLs, so I'm taking those 2 c-notes and adding 3 more and giving the resulting $500 prize to the charity of the winner's choice.
I'm calling my contest the "Charity Sprint" because this time the winner will be the PSL8 leader after two weeks (the period ending 1/25) -- simple, eh?
Once again, to be contest-eligible you MUST --within the FIRST week of the contest (ending 1/18)-- take the "nsomniyak Challenge". Introduced in PSL6, and named after its creator nsomniyak, the Challenge is simply a posting to this board explaining in a sentence or two what you like about each of your 6 picks. Len puts these in the I-box as they are submitted...read a few to get the flavor of what we're after.
After dismal performances in the past two PSLs, I'm personally re-energized with the turn of the calendar and a roster of over 20 possible picks for my PSL8. Looking forward to 4:01 PM 1/11 to start hearing about everybody else's picks and DDing the best...
The fastest runner out of the blocks can pick up a nice donation to his/her favorite charity...choose those PSL8 entries wisely!
