.<font color=platinum>**Update from Eugene Butler

Debating on the message boards is great and one of the best tools in the penny stock trader's arsenal, but when questions are unanswered you HAVE to go to the management.

I called the company after the bell and got Mr. Butler's phone number. I called and while I was leaving a message, he was calling me back. So I hung up and answered (call waiting)

He was very relaxed and said more than what I even expected.

First, the main question: Who's the seller

His reply, "I don't know."

I mentioned insider selling and he said that is not the case or else he would know about it. I then asked if he would run a DTC on the orders and he said that he's curious as well and will get back with me on that.

Second, what's the outlook for next year

I could hear his eyes 'lit up' at the sound of that and then he started spewing all these great things. He said next year will be better than this one "without a doubt!" The most significant of which was the LOI of a company even GREATER than Mako! I couldn't believe he said this... and had to ask again after he was done with his discussion on future revenue growth, new products, etc.

Third, why did you join Deep Down

I've always wanted to ask Mr. Butler this, but never took the time to call and always thought he would be too busy to discuss this more personal question. He said that he was planning on retiring, but decided to take the job after a friend talked him into it. He said that he saw the potential of the offshore drilling industry and was impressed by Ron Smith. He said that Mr. Smith is the most knowledgeable in this field.

This is somewhat condensed, but hits all of the main points. I'll keep everyone updated on the DTC research.
