China Infrastructure Buildout Plays

I found these two companies at a Roth Capital Conference. The presentations are available here:

These are two companies created by blank check financing. Funds were raised to look for acquisition candidates in China. I think they have found excellent growth candidates.

CSCA.ob $9.60 Still hasn't officially merged but vote coming up. Largest private Chinese engineering company providing design, construction, installation and operating expertise for distributed power generation and micro power networks in China. For qtr 6/30/07 grossed 54 million, +73% over 6/06 and earned 6 million, +156%. Backlog went from 322 to 469million from 3/07 to 6/30/07!! Contracts usually completed within 12-18months so gross revs are going up to 75 to 90 million a qtr.

otc listed but plan to go nasdaq once merger is complete. This is not cheap. I think diluted share count is 42 million so around 17 forward p/e, which is similar to Hrbn. They take energy from the smokestack industries and cogenerate energy for local use. This is a green power technology that seems perfect for the times.

HYLSF.ob $8.35 HLS has become one of the leading automation systems providers in the PRC, developing a number of core technologies and completing over 4,700 projects utilizing a wide array of automation products. The Company specializes in the research, development, production, sale and distribution of industrial automation and control systems, competing effectively with both domestic Chinese companies and large, multinational participants in the industrial, rail and nuclear power sectors.

Grossed 102 million for fye 6/07. Earned 15.8million with one time 6.4 million merger expenses. Diluted share count is also around 42 million. So around .50eps vs 8.35 or again around 17 p/e. Backlog here is 102million vs 87million 6/06. Several big contracts signed with rail and nuclear after year end.

both of these have warrants. The warrants expire 8/09 with a $5 strike price. They can be called since both stock have exceed 8.50 for 20 days. But there doesn't appear to be any premium in the warrants.

CSCA.ob 9.60
CSCAW.ob 4.50

HLSYF.ob 8.35
HLSWF.ob 3.30

I bought both stock and warrants. I think these could be monster companies, growing with the infrastructure buildouts. Going to nasdaq will make them attractive to many bigger investors. Be sure to listen to the presentations.
