exactly the ploy, imho. What are the chances the company needs some cheap shares? Then they can issue a statement later in the day saying they're "going after the fraudulent party that issued the pr" and let it go back up........(without fronting acutal legal expenses)
Call me a skeptic but....
I think there were more than one penny companies that have done something like this.
For example, after a spam blast companies will issue "we didn't do it" pr's...........to cover their tush
