rdavis8325 -- re 'this is a war for oil! simple as that!' -- well, now, isn't that special -- and fine, fair enough, still not correct, but a real start -- now let's hear dubya tread that close to the truth and see what happens, both here and there, and indeed worldwide -- . . .

btw, there actually is this thing known as a world market for oil -- you know, you can get it just by buying it, without having to kill and maim and displace millions conquering and occupying the place that has it -- the real point of Iraq isn't so that 'we' can have access to that oil; hardly -- the real point of Iraq is so that private American (and British) oil companies can control Iraq's oil and profit obscenely from it while answering to nobody, in an Iraq 'governed' by an illegitimate puppet controlled and propped up, at our expense and with our blood, via policies implemented by those companies' proxies in our government
