"Strick" is a nickname he has had from his days in Texas when he had a few really good guys and his brother working at Spooz. He may have it from his trader days. I would like to know how he is pitching ST2 to the trader world. In the past they would go in teams to West Texas and sign feed lots and grain elevators, but they would put a great deal of time and energy into each client. It would not be out of the question for them to make them selves available for any software issues that popped up 1200 miles away. Once one feedlot or cattleman signed then others quickly followed, the company's reputation was sterling as was their customer service. The select few who have been using ST2 might be a small sized company like a managed futures fund, Introductory Broker, Traders ect.,. I can see them putting their resources at a few strategic accounts knowing like the past the rest will come from word of mouth. I can picture the company and it would not be out of the ordinary to have their employees running around answering questions and doing demonstrations to larger potential clients. Good software was very expensive and mediocre back then. All those little extras that come with ST2 will make a great number of people believers. Trying to get fibanocces, Black Scholes might be extra with the competition or not available. But again it's designed and pitched for the commodities industry not equities. For people who are not familiar with the commodity industry please do some DD on the matter. Anything that gives them the edge is worth it with the money on the the line. I know that after the official launch I'm going to ask some friends at the NYMEX to take a look at it and try to arrange a demo.

They may be a day late but they won't be a dollar short-Chris
