Hello all, I've followed HGEN for the past year and a half - made some trading profits and maintained a base position while waiting for TLD. Based on my own research, peer reviewed articles, and the good commentary found on this board by 4Don and others, I had a reasonable expectation that Mr. Durrant would take the company over the finish line - so the recent results were of course quite disappointing for all.
My question: I'm not interested in trading HGEN for small profits - so what would be your rationale for maintaining a core position at this time ?
Some have posted that they expect some kind of rebound to ??? in the near future. I'm not so sure - even after reviewing the Strategic Realignment of Pipeline and Resources recently announced. It appears the company will continue to exist - but any meaningful recovery within the next twelve to eighteen months seems doubtful.
Thank you for your inputs.
North40000, In addition to holding a comfortable long position in CDMO for quite some time now I've also been following HGEN for the past year or so. Recent results were disappointing to all - and I understand you also held a long position in HGEN.
If I may ask what is your opinion regarding HGEN's future ? Lenz was not initially designed as a Covid drug as we all know - so what are your thoughts about the future of the drug - both long and short term ?
Thanks for your thoughts.
Geo, re the excerpted portion of your post below:
Jake, Have to agree with your shakeout assertion:
But it also appears that the "shakeout" may be nearing its end - see North's recent comment below yours.
North, Interesting Q&A:
Seems Mr. Milligan may once again be looking for a "Cornerstone Molecule" - at least as it may relate to Car-T : )
Friend of mine tells me that SK has been spending some time in the Bay Area - perhaps in Foster City.
Hummmmmm . . . .
Must be getting more difficult to find anyone still willing to sell their shares.
Good morning Sunstar:
Have to agree with the tenor of your post below. And as the "tenor" continues to accelerate day to day - perhaps your "SOON" may be {dare I say it} imminent : )
Hutschi's must read recent post just about seals it.
Great find hutschi,
bidrite, thanks for sharing your impressions re the recent Lias presentation - particularly his revenue goals - but perhaps more important, his continuing inability to talk forcasts, capital structure, and possible future dilution.
North, thanks for sharing your insights.
From the tenor of the board it would seem you are right on the mark.
Have a nice evening.
James
Interesting sentiment persisting as evidenced below.
Although I note very few comments regarding North's recent post below and follow up comment from yours truly. North could of course be wrong and/or completely off base in his commentary - but he's gone to all the conferences for years - he's talked "face to face" to many if not almost all of the principals - most notably Dr. Wolchok and others from MSK. He appears to sincerely believe in the likely efficacy of the IP in multiple indications - but right now with a focus on Car-T. So I think it's fair to give his thoughts significant credibility and a fair chance of being right on the mark.
North, I talked via email with Jay back then as well - I think after he decided to take the job - and he told me he couldn't pass it up as it was "his dream job" - at least at that time.
CJ, he's referencing Jay Carlson.
AKA Jazzbeerman : )
Thanks Andy,
Have a good night.
James
North, if what you are intimating below turns out to be correct - meaning JUNO was "the company" to which Dr. Wolchok was referring during your recent discussions - then his "depends on the company" statement and resultant delay of a Clinical Trial GO signal could quite logicially be related to the then ongoing discussions between JUNO and CELG which, however annoying for Dr. Wolchok, required the trial to be held in abeyance pending the failure or success of their discussions.
Well now - the discussions are completed - and successfully so for both parties. The result being that CELG may now be "the company" to which Dr. Wolchok will look to for his GO signal.
Recently in an article I posted the author stated that JUNO sought to be "First in Class" in the Car-T arena - and they hoped for that designation to be ultimately judged to be theirs based on their belief that their Car-T had a superior safety profile when compared to their competition. Perhaps now - with the possible addition of the PS IP, they - or now CELG - could quite reasonably have the chance to lock in that "First in Class" superiority designation.
I hope you are correct in your assertion below regarding an auction process or bidding war coming - but as CELG has just shown - they are very willing to "pay up" for what they need - and if CELG has now indeed positioned itself as "the company" - then perhaps there will be no need for the auction. Time will tell.
As excerpted in relevant part from your post:
Patientlywaiting,
The author has been made aware.

Hutschi, Very informative Car-T review.
Thank you.

MusicBiz, thanks for your post excerpted in relevant part below:
corp, re your post below:
Good old reliable Zacks:
Peta, a question based on your post below:
Thank you Accumulators for the Heads-up.
Smash and Grab on full throttle !!!
Jedd must be getting REALLY IMPATIENT to get the show on the road.
Mass Hysteria {AKA MH},
The board has missed your contributions over the past many months. If you're still monitoring the board, I and a few others would be interested to learn your current outlook - in light of the excerpted portion from your March 2017 post below - but also in light of the fact that perhaps the most important KOL of them all, Jedd Wolchok and MSK, now has a human clinical trial all prepared and ready to go - for most likely CAR-T - and is just waiting on "the company" for the go ahead. Of course, the identity of "the company" is still unknown, but nonetheless Dr. Wolchok is clearly ALL IN on the PS IP and clearly sees the "visible value" you mention in your post.
Hope you are well.
James
Joe, re your post below:
Jake, just a comment or two re the excerpted portions from your recent post below:
Archie, re your post below:
Patientlywaiting, re your post below:
North, Not sure why you would use the word "blithely" re the ongoing "marketing" of the IP. As such a descriptor bears no relation to what's actually going on RIGHT NOW !! - all the attention paid to little old PPHM is not IN ANY WAY {well, maybe as a small insurance policy} just related to the hoped for {and yes very likely} success of a growing CDMO business. You know JW - could he countenance your use of such a word as it relates to the current situation?
North,re your post below:
East, re your post below:
And the beat goes on.
Keep trying Zacks et al.
Hutschi, re the excerpted portion of the Zacks article below:
North, re your "Query"
Smash and Grab still the MO.
Will it change next week?
Hello Geo, glad you missed me.
