I do not disagree one bit that Guyer screwed existing long investors. He did it because he had to - plain and simple. There was nothing in his power he could do to magically make the .0001 PPS/35B A/S go away, other than an R/S. Is there anybody here that disagrees with that? If so, please tell me what his other options were. I very highly doubt we'll EVER hear an apology for the r/s. In fact we heard the opposite - he said he did it for long-term shareholder value. And, afterall this is an investment with risks, blah, blah, blah. I can't argue with a single point he made - it's all true. He couldn't do anything except fix the share structure. Did it have to be as drastic as a 5000:1? That's another discussion with pros/cons.
I wasn't here before 2011, so I can't speak for any mismanagement, dilution or incompetency (lack of proper financing.) I have never seen a single PR or document come out that he said he would never R/S. Can somebody provide that link? Was it mainly an understanding from a few phone calls investors made to him? I wouldn't count a single phone call as gospel. Heck, I would never count anything as gospel. This is a startup and nobody knows the future - including Guyer. If he thought he might need to r/s a few years down the road, would he really tell investors that? How could you expect an honest answer? He doesn't know the future and neither do we. He knows rumors of an r/s would spread like wildfire and shut down CG before it ever got off it's feet. His #1 priority is the success of the company. Getting it ready for operation and/or getting it bought. Don't kid yourselves and think he puts his shareholders above the big-picture success of the company.
If he decides to dilute this in a month or sometime before March '13, that goes against what he said in his PR about obtaining financing. Unless something happened after the PR, out of his control, that threatened the financing, we should be able to count on no dilution. If he dilutes and says that yes, something happened with the financing (if he would even tell us that much), then we all just need to pack up our shit and GTFO. That points to mismanagement/dishonesty and you cannot trust a single word out of his mouth.
Any penny stock start-up CEO/CFO that says they'll never dilute or R/S is just not being honest - they simply should never make those statements, but if they do, it's because they know they can get away with it. Imagine if Apple's CEO publically said they'll never do a f/s or r/s. He'd never say that.
I'm not trying to defend Guyer or bash him, I'm just trying to tell things how I've seen them in only the last 1.5 years or so. My "tune" would probably be a LOT different if I had been here 4,5,6 years. I think things will get interesting here once the 20 days are up. We need a real heartbeat on the progress. If Guyer's going to only PR single "phases" of what he's doing, it's going to be frustrating between phases. Personally I'd like a detailed break-down of events and plans with a "...and here's how I'm paying for all of this. And here's how much each part's going to cost. And here's our agreed upon completion dates from our contractor(s)."
Pretty sure we're not going to get that kind of info, LOL.
