Never left Africa. All info is out there. You just have to know where to look and who to ask.
Dredgemaster
He goes to church every Sunday if he can.The Decon of his church is also the DIRECTOR OF MINES.
Dredgemaster
Heard it on the DRUMS my friend. How else?
Dredgemaster
Don't know exactly where their proposed concession is but heard it is out Kenema way.
Dredgemaster
WONDERS WILL NEVER CEASE AND OPINIONS ARE JUST THAT! OPINIONS.
Dredgemaster
Your answer has absolutely nothing to do with my post. And if the renters of equipment find diamonds then I suppose YOU will say that sney does not want them or a percentage as they are not in the diamond business. Your interpretation of the interview is poor to say the least.
Dredgemaster
Depends on how you want to proceed? You can listen to people who say they have diamonds and gold on their own property and take them and their evidence on TRUST and spend $50000 0n that site and either win or lose. Or you can take the $50000 and investigate 50 different site's which will take about 7 months to do and then you will come up with 10 sites which are worth a punt. So which way do you think has the lesser risk.If I had a cent for every person who said they had diamonds and gold on their property then I would have been a millionaire at age 20. Hope that helps
Dredgemaster
Do you think the store would be selling all those shakers and shovels if there were no diamonds there. First sign you look for.
Dredgemaster
The word in sl is that sney will go after diamonds with a local geologist as country manager. I think the buying day's are over as the cost of diamonds in SL is excessive compared to other countries. I believe that the dealer's licence would be about due for renewal and sney will have to decide where to prioritise funds.
Dredgemaster
No problem DD.She is in Kinshasa but will contact her and tell her you share her grief.
Dredgemaster
I am told that some good pieces are coming out of the Moa at and around Diama, Kotomahun,Korma and Pendabu . However I don't think sney is on the Moa.Latest I hear is that no more parcels and back to mining with a new country manager. The need to put any equipment back into working order is vital and should be done soon because the rivers are well down.
Dredgemaster
So what's the latest on the diamond buying project? Looks like sney is back to where it was in June 2014? I would have expected news a about licence and concessions by now.I am off to Bo in a couple of days and perhaps I can get some idea of what is happening if anything?
Dredgemaster
I was in koidu last week. There are too many young men sitting around in ten and twenties doing NOTHING which is an obvious result of lack of work of ANY KIND. Wheather the diamonds are dwindling or the area is mined out or it is not productive enough to make a profit has been asked for the past 5 years. However this is only one chairman's opinion of the kono area.I wold like to hear from other chairman in other areas.personally I prefer precious metals as you know and the chairman stated that gold is still available. As for Agriculture diversification there are those who are way more qualified than me who would better answer you.Anyway as the chairman confirmed a recent post of mine that washing gravel is now taking place and there will be diamonds for sney to buy soon.
Dredgemaster
OK If you include dredge, cat. Wash Plant. Portable separators and concentrators. Pumps. Then about 25 pieces of kit. The dredge engines were all refurbished in Liberia
Dredgemaster
If they were looking for gold then the green mat would be in a separate bucket and washed there is trapped gold there. It lo the right and looks as if it has not been washed as there is sand in it. Perhaps there is no profitable gold and the dredge is set up for diamonds ONLY
Dredgemaster
They are cleaning out the box and have put heavy materials in rubber basin. Looks like the mat and riffles are stacked to right. Must be looking for diamonds or they would take more care of the mat for trapped gold.
As for cat the last time I saw this was in the same secure compound in Monrovia with Tom. In answer to your previous the kit was bought from an American or Canadian Church Group who's staff stayed to fight Ebola and one man who's name is Eric was and is a true hero
Dredgemaster
Sorry to hear of your disappointment but when a company gets $80000 investment for a project and you are given $20000 to do it then I am not surprised. Any way they have David Garnett now who is doing a great job. He is bringing in $1500 a week in revenue for sney by renting out the equipment that came from Liberia while they await survey and concession confirmation always knew he would be an ass et.
Dredgemaster
It is same make and model and last time I saw it in a compound next to a hotel used by sney management when in country in 2014.
Dredgemaster
Sorry can't help. They are not people I know
Dredgemaster
When I left sney they had the paperwork, maps and surveys for 1 class B and 18 class C licences and there remained $169 to be paid for processing as all costs had been paid.So I would be careful how you phrase your accusations. All official documentation will be with Sney. I see no reason why sney would not continue after I left unless funds weren't available.
Dredgemaster
You are entitled to your view.Even if it is based on inaccurate information and therefore is of no consequence as I know for a fact that sney worked 2 rainy seasons. But keep up the good work otherwise how else will people know how smart you are.
Dredgemaster
As far as I am aware, sney does not have any gravel to wash as they await their concession licence. It is my understanding that they are now a diamond buying company and the best time to buy is after OTHER COMPANIES have stockpiled and washed. I would have thought even someone with limited capabilities of understanding would know that.
Dredgemaster
Yes you are correct but they are still stockpiling the gravel and will wash in August when heavy ran comes. So best time will be from August onward to buy as good ones are in short supply at this time. I have come to finalise some contract and overhaul my own kit so I can be ready when all is signed. I understand David Garnett is doing the same while sney await geo report on proposed concession. He has turned out to be a real asset for sney from what hear.
Dredgemaster
Exactly what I said. They have a dealer's licence and export under a third party. Thanks for confirming.
Dredgemaster
Perhaps you are thinking of DEALERS LICENCE? To export you need a Export licence.($50000)
Dredgemaster
Do not know if there is any parcel. Only that the buyer has been and flew out Wednesday. I am told that Sney export through a third party as they do not YET have a export licence.
Dredgemaster
Word is the buyer flew out on Wednesday. I don't know the size of the parcel. Other news to follow as have not been here long.
Dredgemaster
Trying to be polite. See the same broken recording still being played. Would be simple to spend 1000 bucks and jump a plane to Sl and see what Sney is doing than beat yourself up by guessing. I arrived in SL today. Will be easy for me to find out what's happening as you know people here love to talk.
Dredgemaster
Hi all I'm so brilliant I can prove that Dredge is NOT IN AFRICA. ROLLOCKS. SEEMS SOME PEOPLE ARE ALL TALK AND NO PROOF.
Been in Kinshasa and am off to SL in a few days. Talking with one chief in Bo and understand that some thing may happen very soon. Will vista's him and see. Glad to see sney exploring again and we may be neighbours if they get concession next to my friends concessions.
With the experience the diamond buyer has I am sure that if the correct stones are there then things will be OK. But you can not buy rubbish diamonds just for the sake of it.
Dredgemaster
Any news on how the diamond buying project is going.
Dredge master.
I am told that Prince has one of the wash plants up in Kono and has mountains of gravel to wash. IMO It would seem that this should be a great time for sney as they should be Producing rather than buying and selling.
I am also told that David Garnett was in an accident on his way to Kono and has a broken leg. I hope SNEY are taking care of him.
Dredgemaster
First, lets give thanks that Sierra Leone has been declared EBOLA FREE.
Second, I would like to thank SNEY for the help they gave to fight this terrible disease with financial, food, and health eequipment which saved lives and helped stop EBOLA spreading.
Third, a special thanks to the team who continued to look after sneys interests in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
I see that nothing changes here on this board.
I expect that the ending of Ebola and the start of the Dry Season are both significant factors for SNEYs FUTURE
Dredgemaster
Hi DD, lets get on track. Sney Senior managment have visited and walked all over the Kono area Sewa/Bafi as mentiond in report. (speak to Mr Hale and Mr Parent to confirm)
I have also spent more time than I care to remember in the Sumbuya area and Kamakwei.
Your ablity to filter out the BS in the report will guide you in the Right Direction.
Dredgemastr
There are still plenty of avenues to be explored in SL.
Iron Ore is only one mineral.
I believe Someone made a lot of profit and cheap aquisitions as a result of the drop in Ore.
Its only a matter of time untill Briton has NO STEEL INDUSTRY.
Dredgemaster
Hi DD, I have had several mails from site owners and licence holders in SL asking about the type and output of wash plant sney have and as you MAY know sney has 2 wash plants and the Trom 406 is one.
I suspect one may go to Koidu and the other to Bo area as most of my mails come from these two areas.
Good to see sney preparing early to wash and with mountains of gravel already out of the ground in Kono you may see results in a few months. There are some realy good people in the Bo licence areas and I will be up there in a few months.
Dredgemaster
You bet, There is no subsitute for Experience and the buying power.
Dredgemaster
Hi JD If they were wise and it looks like the may have been then they could have carried out some trial runs with a couple of Diamond Dealers. The one who provided gem quality diamonds at a reasonable cost would then become the preferred supplier.
The above is dependent on the BUYERS Knowledge and ability to buy rough stones.
Dredgemaster
Who is Mr Garnet.
Dredgemaster
"And at least la Boca knew not to put himself in the precarious spot the new guy is in by putting it in writing."
So you are also blessed with the knowledge of who writes the PRs?
