A lot of the "emerging markets" are Chinese stocks and the US Government is about ready to declare that those stocks cannot be traded by US companies. Currently, the declaration will go into effect June 3 unless Biden puts a hold on it, but there have been threats against China that the ban will happen.

I don't know why people are questioning if AA wants to do good by the Apes or not. He's buying shares for himself. Why wouldn't he want them to increase in value???
Personally I think the doubts are being thrown out there by the shorters to create doubt in the minds of the Apes so they are more ready to give up.
Another thought is that different Apes think this, that, or the other thing out to be done and if one's own opinion isn't followed, AA must be not doing his duty.
He will do what's good for AMC and the Apes.

Personally, I think there is a good chance the MOASS will begin ~~around~~ the 21st in connection with the option expirations... could start a few days before...maybe right after.

When I wanted to deposit shares into my IRA, TDA told me I had to do cash. Maybe the situation was a little different. Even then, you would probably have to count the current value of the shares and not the original purchase price.

Good for you. I wasn't able to get to the plus side, but I was glad for what I got anyway. (Also have tax-loss carryover.) Who knows what that run was, but I suspect is was the result of the "squeeze fever" that's been going around.
