www.nhsec.nh.gov/2009-02/documents/091216application.pdf

http://laidlawenergy.com/about-us.html
Laidlaw Energy's business objective is to build a profitable portfolio of biomass energy plants and become the leading provider of biomass energy in the United States. In so doing, Laidlaw Energy intends to make a positive impact on the environment by providing a cleaner alternative to fossil fuel power, which will in turn help reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming and climate change.

Laidlaw Energy has a strong and talented management team lead by its founder and CEO, Michael Bartoszek. Prior to founding Laidlaw Energy, Mr. Bartoszek spent over 10 years in the securities industry with a number of top investment banks. Later in his career on Wall Street, Mr. Bartoszek was engaged in advising energy and independent power companies in connection with acquisitions and financing.

New Bedford, MA or Ware, MA

Laidlaw Biopower, LLC (“Laidlaw”), an affiliate of Laidlaw Energy Group, Inc. (Ticker “LLEG”), announced today that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding with an affiliate of a Massachusetts based private equity firm to initially lease and subsequently acquire an operating oil and gas fired power plant in Southeastern Massachusetts. The plant is situated in an industrial park and currently serves the thermal energy needs of a leading developer and manufacturer of photovoltaic products and technology. Laidlaw plans to convert the plant to biomass power to serve the electric and thermal needs of the photovoltaic company, with the balance of the plant’s electricity to be exported to the grid and sold to a local utility pursuant to a long-term contract.

"We have started working on a great new project. We are starting the development of a combined heat and power biomass energy project located at a manufacturing facility in Massachusetts. The project will sell electricity and process heat to businesses situated at the facility and also export power to the grid.  We have engaged an engineering firm to start moving forward on preliminary design work and study the other issues necessary to move to the next stage of the project. We are very excited about this innovative and beneficial project. More info to come down the road..."

"Laidlaw has entered into an agreement with the owners of the Polaroid Facility in New Bedford, MA to conduct an engineering feasibility study to verify the economics and design concepts of a proposed clean biomass Combined Heat and Power project."

"Laidlaw has signed a letter of intent to acquire an approximately 10MW biomass energy plant located in Massachusetts. The parties are presently negotiating a definitive purchase agreement. It is anticipated that the project will be assigned to HLE and become part of its development portfolio, subject to approval of HLE’s board of directors."
