The leaders of a Margate church put their trust in one of their flock, believing he was brokering a land deal with $1.67 million raised by the congregation.

It was a faith betrayed.

The money from the churchgoers at Abundant Life Christian Centre disappeared into the pockets of Christopher Salmonson, a man whom a veteran Broward County Click here for restaurant inspection reports sheriff's detective describes as a "consummate con man."

Salmonson, 42, was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in prison for swiping money that church officials had hoped to use to buy 10 acres next door for an expansion.

Salmonson's swindle tore the church apart, with more than 1,000 members of the 3,400-strong congregation leaving.

Bishop Rick Thomas said the stress from the scandal caused him to have a heart attack and his brother Eric, 59, a church official, to have a fatal heart attack.

Salmonson had been awaiting trial for more than six years for the scheme that authorities said dates to 1998, when church leaders delivered their first check to him.

"It's been horrendous," Thomas said. The church has paid $400,000 in legal fees alone, he said.

Salmonson pleaded no contest in September to 13 grand theft charges as part of a novel deal. If he could have come up with the $1.67 million by Wednesday, he could have withdrawn from the agreement and pleaded to misdemeanor charges that eventually would have been wiped from his record.

Salmonson is president and chief executive officer of a West Palm Beach company called Fuelnation Inc., which describes itself as "engaged in the worldwide marketing of crude oil, diesel and gasoline."

Here's a quick update on FLNA...

The Form 10 was filed on July 3, 2008. Since then, the 2007 10K and first two 10Qs (one each for the first 2 quarters) of 2008 have been filed within the 60 day limit (based on July 3).

The MM Westminster will be handling the application for the 15c211 which will be filed with FINRA on our behalf soon.

Stay tuned...all DD is in the recent filings.

Excitement lost after 2 months
Lots of excitement back in March and then nothing new except increase in number of shares so the company can get some cash and our shares are devalued.

Trevor must be having a hard time getting the audit done.

Share structure has been updated based on the website numbers. You can go to www.fuelnation.com - the numbers are disclosed there. I can only assume that shares were used to take care of loans, etc. so that we can advance to the next stage - hopefully, the final stages of completing everything.

Until we see a filing that explains everything, we just have to wait.

tickets were all for paided in cash, while some were saying, we would never last.
its just like poker with your money in the pot. only they will be a lot of winner cashing in on the spot.

There was a lot of manipulation of the tape today.....there were 400K of cancled transactions that showed up on Alphatrade......Amazingly enough they were the two big trades at .08 of 165K each and a few others.

Can you say shake?

That's what I hear. Train was supposed to leave the station last October, but got delayed (getting the kinks worked out so the wheels turn smoothly). A move is exected this month; guess we'll see lol. I do know that BIG Russian money is playing a crucial role. Best of luck to everyone.

Hey everyone out there. Lar Lar you are my dads friend ART EATS. I am his son. I invested so money when i was 18 in flna and am now 22. To keep you guys posted I called the west palm beach office today and talked to the receptionist and said currently there are only 10 employees working in the flordia office. She said they are currently looking to fill a bunch of positions. I mean I have a practical view of flna if it hits it hits if not o'well. I would love for it to hit but it seems hard to belive that at there central office they only have 10 employees. But anyway its been a fun ride for 4 years and many more to come :)
