You knew before I did.
Kewl Beans, I didn't know this board existed ;)
The Beginning but definitely not The End.
You lead and I will follow (wasn't that lyrics in some song?), anyways, I'm a huge LisaMarie supporter!
You're a beautiful woman inside and out & you've got it goin' on. I respect you for taking risks,
trying new things in photography, and you know I "digg-digg" that quirky sense of humor.
I will help you in any way I can and I'm sure we will all meet up at WPPI this year too.
I'll see you over on the photog forums.
Peace ;)
Agree...totally agree in more ways than one.
Thanks for being a part of this board....I'm taking some advice
from a photog friend and this will be my last post. While I
thought this could be a different venue to share it's definitely
not the forum to do that - in fact I even ditched
every penny stock I owned this week and got out all
together. There was a point in my life where I thought very
different of this ruthless penny world but it doesn't fit who
I am anymore....I share my investing strategies with like minds
such as Dave Ramsey. He is definitely my hero.
Thank you Chris for such kinds words, you know where to
e-mail me and I'm sure we'll chat on OSP too.
Your Friend....LisaMarie
LisaMarie-You're more than Welcome!
Peace ;)
Yes I did LisaMarie! I got some great shots at the ceremony and the reception was beautiful-of course the natural light was most excellent too. Hope you had a nice week and that you're delving in & experimenting with your Canon & lenses.
Always stay true to why you love photography and take lots of pictures for you. I share the same sentiment that so many others on OSP do regarding taking time to go around the city, around the architecture and click away. There's so much beauty around us and I love to capture as much as I can.
Peace with a Smile ;)
Thank you - that's soooooo very sweet of you!
LisaMarie
{ggggggg} How can Will Ferrell not make anyone laugh?!?!
Hope you got awesome pictures (albeit I'm sure you did)!!
LisaMare =)
Hoot-Hoot LisaMarie, another great mix! You're too funny having Jackie Moon's "Love Me Sexy" in there too.
I never heard the Cha Cha Slide before but I just listened to it today and can see where it "pumps you up!"
Gotta edit pics from this past weekend now.
Peace ;)
Uhhhh LisaMarie I don't think you're really excited about the TTD in May!haha
I suspect you're going to fall in love with that type of wedding session.
BTW your excitement in general is refreshing to the forum too!
Peace ;)

Hey There - I've been out of pocket but have read some of that thread on OSP and also saw Fletcher's YouTube skit - yes it made me giggle
especially since my sense of humor is pretty much off beat anyways! Thanks for posting it here - I watched it one more time and had to smile
because he looks cute in his Charlie Brown sweater - heehee
I hope you had an awesome wedding to shoot! I'm planning on doing my first "Trash the Dress" in Atlanta - meeting up with other OSP'ers in May.
The shoot is a mock-up session but it will be a first for me and did I mention that I'm excited?!
LisaMarie
Ms. LisaMarie-when you get a chance watch this clip from YouTube, I suspect you'll find the humor in it too. BTW, the thread regarding bigfolio has been blocked on OSP- too much drama but Fletcher had me LOL.
Got my gear and ready to run out the door.
I hope that link works-enjoy!
Peace ;)

Hi LisaMarie-I got it yesterday and like how it doesn't add bulk just like they advertise, plus it's a cool design.
Hope all is going well I read on OSP where you had lots going on this week. I'm getting ready for my wedding to shoot tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!
Peace ;)
Late night tonight surfing the photography forums and I had to make my way here too, really nothing new to report.
Have a good week!
Peace :)
Get your groove on LisaMarie-haha!
Bono, Fatboy Slim, Green Day-actually like them all!
Did you see Becker's list that he gets ready to
before going to shoot his weddings? He has it
posted on his blog. I need to put some more
playlists together like he did, great idea
before heading out to clients weddings.
Peace :)
Nice find LisaMarie! I placed my order for "Black Tech Abstract" I liked them so much.

Fabulous Friday Update....
This morning on the treadmill I started thinking about how
the iPod has totally changed my workouts and in general how I spend
some of my time.
I decided to start my weekend early and want to share a few songs in
my iPod playlist - this is one of my "Alternative Playlists" that gets me
going for the day with several of my favorite groups. If you play
them in this order you'll have a great cardio workout!!
Enjoy....

Hey There Jimmy! Welcome to my little slice of unconventionaI networking!

Category: Flipping vs Investing
I'm going to start putting up links and also my opinions on stocks, daytrading, long term investing, and
anything else financial when I'm not traveling. I realize this
is an unconventional board but that fits me perfectly because I am unconventional too!
Currently, I'm following a few stocks that
are on the pink sheets but only flip two or three times a month so I'm not an aggressive daytrader like 90% of posters here on iHub.
I advise everyone to only invest if you know what you're getting into - don't invest
because everyone else is doing it....I actually don't consider this investing but
rather a quick flip - an investment to me is diversified and will provide for you years on out.
Soooooo, the one pink I'm following but haven't bought into is Sharper Image SHRPQ. I don't think this has seen
a bottom yet so I'm waiting and watching.
Thanks for reading and clicking by!
{gg}....that would be a good idea now wouldn't it?! I'll get on that soon.
I have a cool link for all of you iPod users out there:
http://www.gizmobies.com
What is a gizmobies?
A decorative cover for your iPod.
I received mine yesterday and I adore it!!
Here's my ultra sweet cover: http://www.gizmobies.com/18.html
At first it looks like it would be a mess when applied to your iPod
but it's made so that you can take it off whenever you want and
there's not a residue at all - yay!
Here's a bit I pulled off of their website:
"Most iPod® cases make your iPod hard to use and ugly. Gizmobies, Inc. was founded one year ago by a
successful technology start-up team with one goal: invent a product that allowed iPod owners to customize and
protect their iPod, but keep it pocketable and enhance its aesthetics.
Gizmobies™ were introduced last summer and now have tens of thousands of passionate users.
They're the first and leading brand in fashionable iPod protection that doesn’t add unwanted bulk."
Hey LisaMarie, yeah I checked them out tonight and went over to Blu's blog too. IMO it's just a matter of time and what's sad is that so many photographers have their hosting with them and it will be a mess if all those sites just "go away." I hope future clients google them before signing up.
Don't forget to make a category for cameras and lenses - haha!
Hey Chris! Go check OSP for more information on Blu, seems that the list of photographers
keeps growing and growing who have their sites hosted with them. I count my
blessings that I decided against hosting with them. They were such a creative outlet when
they started but IMO will be another business model to learn from in the future.

http://www.get-free.com - This is a forum that requires payment and is billed monthly for access to the forum.
I really like this site because the serious photogs congregate here.
Another fabulous site by the uber-talented David Jay!
Category: Subscriptions
http://www.adobemagazine.com - To quote Adobe's website....
"A free, online quarterly e-magazine, and discover fresh insight and tutorials from the
wide world of visual communications. You'll see work that's breaking new ground,
get an insider's perspective on how it was created, and find new ideas and tools
to enhance your own projects."
I'll add to and continue to make categories that pertain to professional photography.
These will be links that cover the whole gamut to help those out there that invest, own studios,
and those that are interested in the business of photography.
Personally, I'm in the beginning stages of wedding photography so as I find sites that are beneficial to me
I'll post the links here....afterall I know there are many of you out there that invest as well as run your studio for a living!
There are countless opportunities and if this board is helpful to just one other professional photographer
or helps someone take that step in fulfilling their dream of someday opening a business with their
creativity & photography than this is time well spent in providing this board.
I'm not affiliated with any of the sites that I post on this board - I'm a firm believer in giving back
at every level in your life and right now this is my contribution.

Welcome ChrisHP! I agree that OSP is a great place to network and of course David Jay is nothing short of a genius (IMO) - I'm currently in commercial photography and am making the transition into wedding photography. My goal is to start booking weddings for the Spring/Summer 2009 couples - so far I'm on track and have some workshops to attend in the upcoming months.
Speaking of workshops......that's another area I'd love others to comment on too! There's just so much in this industry to talk about! Have a nice weekend too and thanks for clicking by!
I heard about this on the OSP Forum & think it's a good idea to start something like this. I'd like to say that David Jay's Open Source Forum is a cool place to find information and network.
http://opensourcephoto.net/forum
I have you bookmarked and will be reading along ;)
Welcome to a new approach in sharing with the professional photography community. We all know some of the forums that are out there and that we love but I haven't stumbled accross any where others share investment strategies.
I'll share more later on my thoughts, style, and experience on what's worked for me and what hasn't. Again, welcome and I hope this board will be helpful to everyone that clicks out there!
