Yep, just reported it.
I thought you might appreciate this https://www.reddit.com/r/Guitar/comments/1flrxcj/my_kids_13_and_always_turns_heads_with_something/
No, you should use your original account.
Look at 6th sticky post
It's been reported, I'll let you know when I hear something further.
This board has strayed far from the intended purpose of offering site suggestions for Amit and will be temporarily Closed. While this board will be unavailable for comment, if you have anything you'd like to add, you can post on the Site Suggestions board and mention Amit in the post.
Going forward, this board will be used for surveys, to inform Members of updates along with requesting feedback for focused dialog. When the board is re-opened, your cooperation is asked for in commenting on the discussion at hand and keeping any off topic commentary to a minimum.
Sounds good - thanks!
No, I just forget to change it and you're the first person that's ever asked about it.
Folks, move the food discussion to a different board and keep off topic discussion to a minimum here please.
See your private messages.
Sorry, I don't have an answer for that.
Then my next guess is that it might have a symbol or something that's not recognizing the first letter of the board name. It would see the symbol as the first "letter" and since it's not an actual letter it generally puts that at the top. You see that a lot when searching for an alias - the ones with characters are always listed first.
I don't think so - check under Settings/Site Options/Favorite Boards Sorted by...make sure it says Name.
Correct. It's not available if an Admin removed the post and I think it's also disabled for Premium boards. Admin focuses on stock specific boards. On Premium boards, if you don't care for the way it's being moderated then you're welcome to start your own and manage it as you see fit. I believe you can request a review on general trading/discussion boards in the free zone. But, Admin rarely gets involved in moderator decisions on those boards either. Again, people can create their own and moderate it themselves.
Ha - I actually would love more people request reviews of their removed posts! So many people complain about deletions...granted at least 1/4 of them know exactly why their post was removed but just want to complain...BUT a lot of people have no idea they can do so. I'm in the camp of "teach a man to fish" so would love people to ask and understand what the rules are. It helps me educate people but also alerts me to Mods who are rogue or don't understand the guidelines.
No, that's not acting in Moderator capacity.
Nope, but before we start a whole 'nother off topic thread, we'll end it here. :)
Ah, an AI category - I'll see if I can get that added. Thanks!
Looks like many of you have missed this post: https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175007011 and that's resulted in several restrictions. For those that continue to ignore, you should expect restrictions. https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175007011
@Chartmaster @Carjockey2 @The Whale Knock of your ridiculous bickering on stock boards about who is/isn't the better trader/chartist and who makes the most money. It has NOTHING to do with the companies. You all want to argue about these things - this is the place to do so. Consider this a final warning across all stock boards.
ALL: The board is to talk about ASII - the stock/company. All these arguments about other Members is only result in getting you restricted from posting. People can read, they can make their own judgment about other Members and whether they believe they are credible or not. Just keep your posts focused on the company.
Alright, let's move forward from the chatter and focus back on Q&A. Thanks. :)
A lot of people discussing/alleging a "libelous" post. See below:
I disagree.
A Mod is a volunteer who offers to keep TOS violations off the board when they see them. There's no requirement that they view every post on the board 24/7 and/or see PMs from people posting on the board. There are no requirements other than they follow the rules themselves when posting and don't remove posts for any reason other than those outlined in the guidelines. They are and can be removed for "inactivity" or not participating in the Mod role as well.
But none of this has anything to do with the Ignore feature.
Not really. We pretty much depend on the creator of the board to know what category the company fits into. We generally just make sure the chart is working properly. Mods and Mod Squad often will request changes from the Manage page when they see one that isn't correct.
That's the correct category, I guess I'm just confused what leads you to say this "I have no idea what order the list is in. Certainly not by most recently created, and certainly not by most recent post, something else, what?".
Can you give me a link to the page and an example of a board that you think is out of place on that list?
Are you looking at New Boards under Hot?
Ah, fair point. I don't have an answer.
The rules have always been enforced if it's one sided attacks or someone asks to "cease and desist". Not sure if it's in the rules, you'll have to check the iBox, but, personally if an attack on someone's religious or political beliefs occur, I have been removing those when they're brought to my attention. And, of course, "the lines in sands" applies to all boards.
Since iHub's inception, the theory has always been "you can see/control what you do/see" - "you can't see/control what others do/see".
With that said, times are changing and I don't anticipate that being a change at this time, but, never say never.
If you find reactions you have seen/made disappearing, it likely it was an emoji that has been flagged for common usage in trolling. These are being automatically wiped when they get through the system.
Yes, these were disabled from the emoji choices when reacting, however there is a bug that is allowing some Members to use them some of the time. Systems were implemented to further disallow or wipe these throughout the day.
To be clear, no Mod can remove reactions.
I don't know for sure but I don't believe it's in the pipeline to be added back.
Can you copy/paste the specific guideline you think what you describe falls under?
https://ihwiki.advfn.com/index.php?title=Moderators%27_Guidelines
See the top sticky which interestingly enough you had placed a reaction on. Thank you for providing a prime example and illustrating why reactions were disabled for some.
Sure, it's not easy to do but a handful of people over the years have managed to do so.
See the sticky on this board
Ok, I'm not really interested in going off on these tangents that you want to talk about.
Dave seemed amiable to discuss it with you: https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=174895244
"and why was I banned?" As I said previously, Mods can request that Admin ban someone on a general discussion board when the Mod feels that Member is being disruptive.
BullnBear is technically correct that Mods on free general discussion boards cannot personally ban someone from their board. They need to ask Admin to do so. In this case, you were banned from the board by myself at one of the Mod's request.
Examples where what you suggest doesn't apply:
"You're right/wrong, the AS is XXXXXX",
"You make a good/bad point",
"Have you been able to trade through Scottrade?".
"Hey, how are you? Haven't talked to you for awhile".
"Think your math is messed up, 10 days from now is x"
That was actually a big part of the issue with the original rules. Some Mods decided that any reference such as the above were TOS violations because they "were about the other User". There was no intent in the original design that pronouns couldn't be used. It was simply asking people to focus on the company and not other Members.
