IPhone and NeoNode paired
http://www.pestaola.gr/2007/07/18/iphone-and-neonode-n2-paired/
It seems to have leveled off for now. 7.27 x 7.30
155K shares traded.
I don't think this is available to all brokers to trade yet. Tomorrow or maybe later today it will be able to be traded everywhere in my opinion. Volume should increase then.
Update please. I'm assuming it's quiet now and will have a push end of day. I'm holding mine- nothing but upside I think.
NEONODE N2 IN MYPHONESA.COM 399 EUROS
In Greece the first global launch of the new Neonode N2 mobile phone
Over 40 journalists attended yesterday Thursday 5th July 2007, a press conference at the Hilton Hotel, to be updated on the capabilities of the new Neonode N2 mobile phone, a stylish multimedia mobile phone with an optical touch screen.
The new Neonode N2 has a small footprint, yet a large 2 inch optical touch screen display and weighs only 60grams. It has a 2 Megapixel camera, supports GPRS and GSM and its user interface software runs on Windows CE.With support for storage cards with a capacity up to 32GB it will store loads of music and video.
According to Panos Skarpelis, CEO of MyPhone S.A. - the exclusive Neonode representative in Greece and Souteast Europe - the Neonode N2 will be available in the market towards the end of July 2007 through all three mobile operators at a suggested retail price of 399 Euros.
LOL, I know what you mean. Now 7.10 x 7.25
i'm not chasing this
I agree- after hours pr on a Friday- who's around to see that!
Love the no new shares bit- was quite worried about increasing the share count. Everything looking good now.
6.20x6.35 they should put out the friday pr today was a waste friday
I own sbei, now neon, from last week. The symbol hasn't changed in my account yet and my broker doesn't have info for neon- I'd appreciate any updates on the price change/volume throughout the day. Is level II available for neon anywhere?
GLTY
Thanks,
Zain
It's all over the place and shares are tough to get. I got 400 shares of my 10K order filled at 5.30 and I keep moving my Bid up to get some and it won't fill. I'm at 6.10 now.
That's a big spread......and its getting bigger
NEON is trading now. BID 6.10 x ASK 6.34
18,435 shares so far. Started about 15 minutes ago.
Acutally SBEI is not trading today either. That 48K volume I saw was for friday. Sorry.
Weird no L II or a quote on NEON yet, anyone else not seeing it?
Teens soon IMO: The Licensing part of todays PR is HUGE: NEON could license their patented touch screen technology to the worlds major cell companies, Samsung, Motorola etc. NEON COULD BE THE RAMBUS OF CELLPHONE TECHNOLOGY !!
said Mikael Hagman, President and CEO. "We continue to work on finalizing agreements with several additional partners in the European market, as well as some other major markets, for distribution of our new mobile phone, the Neonode N2. In addition, we are evaluating opportunities to license our patented technologies to a number of companies," continued Hagman.
yep i think it trades as NEON starting monday
So this will trade under NEON from now on?
why did they wait until after the close to pr they screwed anybody that bought on margin, but news was great specially no r/s split i think thats why hardly any volume if if came out before the close would have popped nicely

For the last few days, I’ve been living with the Neonode, the closest thing in the market from anyone — including Apple — to what we are likely to see when the iPhone Nano comes out in a few months. Given that this is a generation-two phone, you wonder how many other similar ideas Apple may have “borrowed” from the generation-one Neonode product.
Initial impressions are actually surprisingly good, though the Neonode needs a little more seasoning to be the perfect small phone for me. The humor here is that even though the Neonode was clearly first, there is little doubt the Apple faithful will call it a clone of the iPhone Nano. That title is likely to stick, so I figured it would be fun to get ahead of the curve and use that phrase in the title. However, this shouldn’t distract from the fact that this, too, is an impressive piece of work and a nice improvement over their generation-one offering product.
Insider buying and 42000 share after hours buy!! $10 coming
SBEI Why I think Neonode "IPO" could be $10 + this month Here are my thoughts on possible price action after merger finalized next week:
-It is important to note that float WILL REMAIN at 1.6 MM shares: there is a 6 month lockup period on Neonode shares.
SIGNIFICANT Insider Buying here:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=SBEI
-When the merger is completed, Neonode will essentially be an 1.6 MM share float "IPO" introducing a product designed to compete "head on" with Iphone- the Hottest wireless product introduction of the decade.
- Neonode has probably been saving new announcements of new distribution agreements FOR THE "IPO" Week- they want to maximize their impact by releasing them on their NASDAQ debut.
When was the last time you saw a 1.6 MM float IPO come out with a revolutionary product going head to head with Apple?
No wonder no Insiders are buying.
HANG ON TO THOSE SHARES, they will be worth much more in a few weeks.
Neonode: Looking Ahead to the iPhone nano
The Neonode, available only in Europe at this time, is the closest thing in the market to what the iPhone nano is likely to be. While it is based on the Windows CE platform, the Neonode folks do to that what Apple does with OSX aboard the iPhone in that the user doesn't see any part of either.
Assuming the iPhone will be the model for the iPhone nano, both phones will be mostly screen and have to make heavy use of gestures to navigate through the different functions.
Much like the iPhone, there is a bit of a learning curve involved. However, also like the iPhone, the device is fun to play with, and that leads you to discover functions you'd likely never use on a normal phone.
The Neonode, and some of you may remember I've written about it before, has many of the advantages and shortcomings of the iPhone. However, the real eye-opener for me was how much you could do on this small phone.
You would expect music to work fine -- and it does. Video, though, was the big surprise. It was actually very nice on the phone, though I missed the automatic orientation feature of the iPhone -- you have to adjust that manually on the Neonode.
One thing the Neonode wasn't good at, however, was Web browsing. This is mostly a screen-size issue, and probably one of the big things that will differentiate the two classes of device.
You can read e-mail on the Neonode, but without some kind of a keyboard accessory (which likely would be larger than the phone is), responding to it would be painful.
As a result of these two things, I expect most people will choose not to enable wireless data on this smaller class unless they want to use the phone in conjunction with their laptop computer as a wireless modem. This allows for a lower-cost service without data to be a viable option potentially lowering the cost of the landline.
Once the Neonode arrives in the U.S., it likely will be a good alternative for those wanting the iPhone nano who either don't want iTunes or don't want AT&T (NYSE: T) .
Oh, since it has a removable battery and takes a mini-SD (secure digital) card, it likely also will be preferred by those who want a phone that is a little more future-proof.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, given this is the second generation of this phone, you wonder who imitated whom (hint: the first version of this phone shipped in 2004).
no IPhone-vodafone for now
.. good for SBEI Neonode
Vodafone "looks forward" to 3G iPhone version 1 hour, 14 minutes ago
Vodafone Group Plc (VOD.L) said on Thursday it was concerned that the current model of iPhone mobile phones -- Apple Inc's (Nasdaq:AAPL - news) latest "killer" gadget -- did not operate on fast 3G networks.
Amid speculation that Apple, the innovative U.S. consumer electronics group, is close to handing a deal to Vodafone's rivals to bring iPhones to European shores, the mobile phone giant said only any deal needed to make sense for shareholders.
"It's clearly a good, software-driven device, but we're concerned about wideband area coverage so that 3G (third-generation) or HSDPA (upgraded 3G) connectivity with the iPhone is something that we look forward to.
"Every product, every alterative, every choice here has a price and we just have to be conscious of what it is that we're doing for our customers and our shareholders," Sarin told a conference call after the company posted strong quarterly numbers.
Analysts expected Vodafone to be in prime position to secure an exclusive, pan-European deal to sell iPhones, which have flown off the shelves in the United States, but warned that Apple was a tough negotiator and liked to dictate terms.
Apple, whose iPhones operate over slower 2.5 generation networks in the United States, is not expected to bring out a 3G version until March 2008, analysts say. And Vodafone has invested heavily in its 3G network and services.
IPhones, which combine Apple's hugely-popular iPod digital music player, a video player and Web browser into a sleek, touch screen device, went on sale in the U.S. in June to the delight of die-hard Apple fans.
Sarin said virtually every mobile company was having a conversation with Apple, but that he could not comment further on any potential decision or announcement.
From February 13th 2007
BARCELONA -- Here at the 3GSM mobile phone trade show, everybody's getting the mandatory questions about the iPhone. Motorola, Nokia, and Microsoft all give bland answers about how they hope Apple will help convince more people to buy expensive, powerful phones. But one company seems to have the iPhone straight in its sights: the tiny Swedish manufacturer, Neonode.
The Neonode N2, being shown at 3GSM, is a tiny, light phone with an innovative gesture-based touch screen. Not only can you click on buttons with your fingers, you can sweep your fingers over the screen to open and close menus -- it's quite slick. There's also a 5-way cursor toggle below the screen, but you don't use it.
The N2's touch-screen abilities even surpass what we've heard of the iPhone in that it has haptic touchscreen dialing. Like the iPhone, the N2 has a virtual keypad to dial on. But this keypad bites back - when you press a "button," the phone vibrates a bit to give you the feeling that you pressed it.
The iPhone runs some variant of Mac OS X, but the N2 runs Windows CE 5.0. Not Windows Mobile, mind you, but a customized version of mobile Windows with Neonode's own user interface. That means it supports Windows Media audio and video, and ActiveSync for connecting to PCs, but doesn't run standard Windows Mobile third-party applications.
And the iPhone's storage is fixed at 4 or 8 GB, but the N2 is expandable -- with a mini-SDHC card slot under its back cover, it can take flash cards up to 32 gigabytes. (8-GB cards were announced here at the show.)
Neonode - Top Wireless Company 2007
Based: Stockholm, Sweden
Founded: 2001
Website: www.neonode.com [1]
Why it's Fierce: This year will long be remembered as the year a certain company from Cupertino, Calif., entered the wireless sector with a touch screen music phone with a potential user base eagerly awaiting its availability, but should Apple's iPhone falter, as some analysts predict, there is a sleeper company from Sweden that could pick up the slack. Neonode's N2 handset is cheaper and smaller with an incredibly precise infrared grid touch screen. The handset responds to sweeping gestures and light taps, but requires no pressure or stylus. Some believe the iPhone's "sweep to the right to unlock" feature was stolen wholesale from Neonode's original handset, the N1, released in 2004. It's also worth noting that Neonode's new CEO Mikael Hagman formerly served as a European Sony CEO.
What to look for: Neonode plans to merge with IP SAN software developer SBE, which will put Neonode shares on Nasdaq. Going public won't be a huge win for the handset maker, but updating the N2 with a larger screen for the U.S. market and inking deals with both a major handset maker for manufacturing their handsets as well as a U.S. carrier (anyone but AT&T) will pit the company's wares squarely against Apple's iPhone. The firm's original touch-screen phone, the N1, sold direct-to-consumer for about $400 three years ago, so they are likely to beat Apple on price with their latest model.
this stock hasn't done the merger yet
so its still a crap company
nice run though
earliest I saw it was @ $6.00.
