Smallest market capitalization stocks in Russell 3000 (using June 22 market cap, the date of recon):
???
How would one obtain this information??
In past years, they listed the market capitalization of every stock in the index, the number used. This year, I cannot find that information on their web site, unless I am looking in the wrong place??

Here it is before recon:

So when do we see all the press releases coming out? It's not official for a few days I guess
Ray, I am pretty sure it's more than $220M just by eyeballing a few that are on the "probably not going to make it" list
Doc sorry for the later reply but I took the day off
I don't know the current market cap either lol
looks like I need to do some research here huh...
no research tomorrow maybe next week...
Ray, do you know what the market cap cut off is predicted to be for each of the 3? 1000, 2000 and 3000?

Russell Eminis have dropped to November levels this session.
Looks like another very interesting week ahead.
Since the Russell 2000 is hitting all time highs this week, I thought it might be appropriate to list some new vehicles for trading this active index.
Proshares Ultra Russell 2000 is UWM
and
Proshares Russell 2000 Short is RWM
These are thinly traded for now, but sure can move.
I would be very surprised if they do not trade on much more volume as they are discovered, similar to the way trading interest has picked up in the QID and QLD on the Nasdaq 100 ETFs.
Proshares
Happened to be looking around iHub for a $RUT board and found you folks.
In case you didn't know, ProFunds has ETFs named Proshares. These were recently introduced and are enhanced and can be traded intraday. Volume is pretty lousy however, and you have to watch the Bid-Ask spreads.
Offerings are pretty thin, but there is a midcap offering which is pretty close to the Russell 2000 space. Symbols MVV for long, and MYY for short and MZZ for 2x short.
Hope this helps. Take care everyone.
Excellent point! If you want to hedge your portfolio or if you are long an index you can use the Profunds to hedge the downside. The market the past few weeks provides an excellent example.
Russell 2000 trading with Profunds is just fantastic as you can use the ultra funds ( UCPIX, UAPIX ) and get a 200 % participation. Of course, you can lose at the rate of 200 % if you do not watch it. You may go neutral in this fund by investing 50 % each in RRPIX and GVPIX. Enjoy

Thanks yafu, thats interesting site.Do you care to help me if I will have some question, since English is not my mothers language & am not so experienced. Thanks

The credit of starting this board
does not belong with me, I merely was the first poster.
I am rather amazed that the board has so little interest as index funds are so heavily traded esp Russell. Pro Funds has always had an extensive portfolio of long and short funds for example the "rising rates funds". Some of their funds are leveraged to the index they follow, for example the return 1.5 times the index retrun. Cuts both ways though, up and down. If you are looking to become an expert on what is available you can go to: http://www.profunds.com/
Good luck and perhaps others will find this board and add a comment or two.
yafu, You have created very interesting boarg, hope posters will recognize it.For some time was looking for the model of shorting market. Can you please explain a litlle your concept.
For some time I followed also RYVNX ,SOPIX but never traded them.Seems that they have minimum limit for investing.
Would appreciate your opinion very much.
Regards,
herplace.
Will small caps continue their run?
Going short the past few years didn't seem like it would be too rewarding, but if it is time to rotate into large caps this could be very interesting strategy now.
