Heres what allot of folks dont understand about a chill.You and I can still trade while a company is placed on a chill.Unless like TDAmeritrade they dont allow you to buy a stock with a chill on it.But when a company has a chill the company cant call the T/A and say sell 40 mil shares for dilution today.They have to get things done the old fashioned way because they cant use the electronic system (DTCC) anymore while the chill is in effect.They can only sell shares manually by filling out all the necessary paperwork and filing it with the T/A and stuff like that.Now with a PAPER TRAIL THEY ARE EASIER TO FOLLOW AND HAVE TO BE SPOT ON WITH THEIR NUMBERS NO SHANANIGANS LIKE WITH THE ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS

This will restrict brokerages' ability to transfer the shares or units of the security through DTC until the security's issues are cleared up or it ceases trading on the market.

Each broker does not determine DTC eligibility. DTC eligibility is determined by DTC. This is a factual issue. Plain and simple.

The problem that has arisen stems from two sources:

DTC has taken a lot different stance on maintaining DTC eligibility when capital structure changes occur to a company. It used to be that continuing DTC eligibility was a given. That is no longer the case.
Some of these marginal companies are none too good at doing the administrative tasks to ensure continued DTC eligibility.

I havent found it on any list either.Lots of stocks are getting cracked down on lately thou.For all kinds of reasons.The SEC is getting allot tougher on them these days with stricter rules and regulations.Hopefully it all ends up making a nicer market for us in the long run by making companies comply with the rules.

indeed and bad timing with this DTC issue ,I'd like the link to this list people knew from as far as the 17th. I 've checked 3 lists from 3 sources and still nothing, well as of yesterday. definetly has ruined my weekend, have to sum it up as IDVC dropped the ball.Hard to stay positive from here so this pr better be the cherry on top then again you can't buy, what a mess/miss, time will tell.

Yeah, good point. That happens a lot as well. Could be someone trying to load more on the cheap. Gotta be careful doing that. News can hit anytime and that trick can backfire on them when they find out all their shares have sold before the run.
