Funko, LLC announced three executive appointments in order to support the company's continued growth and diversification: Andrew Perlmutter, Senior Vice President of Sales has been promoted to President, Johanna Gepford has been promoted to SVP of Global Sales, and Jaime Beckley has been named VP of Sales. In this expanded role, Mr. Perlmutter will be responsible for sales and operations planning across the organization to align sales and marketing activities with supply chain processes. Prior to this promotion, Mr. Perlmutter served as the company's Senior Vice President of Sales, a position he held since joining the company in June 2013. Concurrent to Mr. Perlmutter's appointment, Johanna Gepford, former Vice President of Sales has been named Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In her new role, she will be responsible for growing global distribution as the company continues to expand its presence internationally. In addition, Jaime Beckley, former Director of Sales has been named Vice President of Sales, and will be responsible for growing the company business with new and existing retail accounts.
Funko, LLC announced the opening of its first retail store, The Funko HQ, andnew headquarters located at 2802 Wetmore Avenue in Everett, WA. The company has remodeled the 90,000 square foot building, transforming the downtown Everett space into a destination that will reflect the personality of the inimitable Funko brand. The 17,000 square foot retail space on the first floor has been customized in true Funko fashion and features immersive worlds inspired by Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars, Harry Potter and more, allowing guests to explore massive displays featuring new products, exclusive items and giant Funko figures. The jumbo-sized figures will tower over visitors – some over 10 feet high – and create the perfect Instagram moment for pop culture fans visiting downtown Everett. Additionally, the Funko HQ store will feature a newly designed “Pop! Factory”, which will enable visitors to build their own custom Pop! vinyl figure, as well as “Funko University”, an area of the store dedicated to teaching and mentoring young students in the skills of drawing, sculpting and toy design. The company will open new retails store on August 19, 2017.
