PITTSBURGH, PA – January 12, 2011 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced a strategic milestone in the Company’s App roll-out plan with the availability of over 1,000 Apps for Apple and Android mobile devices now available for sale. Overall revenues for Wizzard’s App immediately increased by an average of 20% with the launch of Wizzard Media’s App for Android.

“We have continued to execute and see success from our strategy to extend our mobile media monetization efforts for our podcast publishers,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. “Our state-of-the-art distribution service combined with our unique monetization solution can be quickly and easily extensible to future podcasting and mobile App platforms such as the much anticipated Amazon App Store. Further, the expected Amazon Android Store signals an opportunity for greater revenues resulting from the marketing power and reach of the leading global Internet company and one of the most trafficked Internet retail destinations worldwide.”

Wizzard’s In-App Purchase upgrades and promotional efforts have demonstrated impressive early success with above industry average conversion rates up to 40%. The marketing of bonus episodes available only through In-App Purchase upgrades increased daily downloads and sales by a factor of almost 7, or by almost 700%. Conversion rates to premium subscriptions from paid Apps showed 40% on a unit basis and almost 70% based on revenue.

WTF with Marc Maron, the number two ranked podcast in all of iTunes (the world) and the number 162 ranked App in the very popular Entertainment category, has seen early success with his podcast App. “We have always had a lot of great premium content and our audience has been able to buy episodes from our web site,” says Marc Maron, host of WTF with Marc Maron, a Wizzard Media Network App offering Premium Subscription upgrades. “We are excited to now be able to offer that same premium upgrade via the App. We are thrilled to see such an overwhelming response when new ones are posted. It’s awesome! WTF!”

While Apple’s iPhone still has the largest share of the U.S. smart-phone market, mobile devices based on Google’s Android operating system are gaining fast. The Nielsen Company reported that the iPhone has 28.6 percent of the market, compared to 25.8 percent for Android. However, with yesterday’s long-awaiting news of the Verizon iPhone4, Wizzard anticipates strong growth in both platforms. According to CNBC, predictions for 2011 sales of the Verizon iPhone4 range from 9 million to 13 million. This boost to iPhone sales should drive new people into the iTunes fold, creating new podcast and app consumers.

Revenue from downloadable mobile apps is predicted to surge from $6.8 billion worldwide in 2010 to $29.5 billion by 2013, according to the research firm Gartner Inc.

AMARILLO, CA & PITTSBURGH, PA – December 21st, 2010 – Wizzard Software and Communications and Power Engineering Inc. announced today that the Weather Radio Improvement Program (WRIP) previously awarded to CommPower in 2009 is proceeding well and is in the licensing phase to deploy AT&T Natural Voices beginning in fall 2011.

The WRIP covers development, deployment and support for a nationwide (and beyond) dissemination system that rapidly and reliably delivers around-the-clock weather, all-hazards and other emergency information, as well as live audio emergency announcements to the public, media, law enforcement and local/state emergency managers. The Program will enhance the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) that provides weather forecasts, watches, warnings, and other emergency messages to the public and emergency managers via the NOAA Weather Radio/All-Hazards (NWR) system and NOAA Weather Wire Service (NWWS).

The Program uses AT&T Natural Voices technology throughout: at each transmitter site for FM broadcast, in the Weather Forecast office in support of phone trees and at each NWS Web Farm in support of informing the public via the Internet. “Progress has been excellent,” says Kathy Nuckles, CEO/President of CommPower. “We are currently at the tail end of the development phase with WRIP and already it is evident that the system is exceeding expectations on many levels.”

All transmitter sites will support dynamic English and Spanish broadcasts driven by language indicators within the various weather/warning products and no manual switching or re-configuration will be required. When fully deployed, WRIP will include 2,500 computers consisting of desktop, server and embedded processor types, and the TTS engine will run in all configurations. “It is simply wonderful to see AT&T Natural Voices become an integral part of such an important public service,” said Bruce Phifer, General Manager of Technology and Services for Wizzard Software. “We have thoroughly enjoyed supporting the CommPower team as they integrate this excellent voice technology into NOAA Weather Radio.”

PITTSBURGH – November 23rd, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced support for AdMob, Google’s Mobile Ad network. Additionally, Wizzard announced nearly 30 audio and video content based Apps, available now in the Android Marketplace. The newly launched Android Apps include some of Wizzard’s best selling Apps from Apple’s App Store and represent 9.2 million media downloads last month. Joining other familiar Wizzard Media Network names Steve Dahl, Grammar Girl and Zig Ziglar, is new comer 1938 Media. Loren Feldman of 1938 Media is a notable social media and featured video blogger at The Huffington Post, making his debut in the Android Marketplace.

Google’s AdMob is now live, serving ads, on The Steve Dahl Show Android App. AdMob is the largest mobile advertising network with over 300 billion global impressions. The latest Android version of Wizzard’s App adds the popular iPhone App feature, audio playback, with full background and multitasking support. The combination of the features will allow for an elegant and improved user experience that encourages interaction with the App and the ability for consumers to navigate to advertiser sites from within the App due to the interactive capabilities.

According to Millennial Media, ad impressions for Android devices tied Apple’s iOS for the first time last month as each claimed 37 percent of the U.S. market based on revenue.

The Android smartphone continues to grow in popularity, outselling its closest rival, Apple’s iPhone, by a nearly two-to-one margin in the third quarter of 2010 as reported by NPD, a market research firm. Additionally, NPD reported that Android, Google’s mobile operating system, was installed on 44% of all smartphones sold in the US. Wizzard Management believes that expanded support for the Android platform will drive increased consumption and new audiences. Android’s popularity and growth can be attributed to the variety of devices offered, from the high-end corporate-like devices to the medium-range consumer devices, across various carriers.

Wizzard aims to convert the 700 Apps it currently offers through Apple’s App Store to also be available in the Android Marketplace over the next month, in time for the post Christmas sales jump from the surge in new devices hitting the market. The standard base-price for Wizzard’s App for Android will be $1.99, with additional features, paid in-App upgrades and ongoing subscription packages offered in the near future. Revenue from downloadable mobile Apps is predicted to surge from $6.8 billion worldwide this year to $29.5 billion by 2013, according to the research firm Gartner Inc.

The latest Wizzard Apps now live in the Android Marketplace include: 1938 Media, 58% Geek Podcast App, A WindowtotheMagic, Anime Pulse – News and Reviews, Are We Alone, BEST OF THE LEFT, Books and Ideas, Brain Burps About Books, Brain Science App, Duct Tape Marketing, Filmspotting – movie reviews+, Gamertag Radio App, Grammar Girl – Podcast App, Inspire Podcast – Zig Ziglar, Jim Harold’s Campfire, Motion Traxx Radio, Paranormal Podcast, Photography 101, Pod F. Tompkast, Skepticality– Skeptic Magazine, Smart Mouths, Spanish 2 Go, The Cell Phone Junkie, The History of Rome, The Murverse, The New Republic, The Paranormal Report, The Steve Dahl Show, IBDeditorials Daily Podcast, Low Budget FM – Comedy Podcast, Meditation Oasis.

“We continue to extend our mobile media monetization efforts for our podcast publishers with the addition of Google’s AdMob for Android Apps. The expansion to the Android platform has been well-received by our network and we believe it will continue to attract new customers to our service,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. “This is a natural progression in Wizzard’s strategy to become the leading mobile content distribution and monetization service. Our service provides serious mobile content publishers with state-of-the-art distribution services, unique monetization solutions and compelling audience engagement experiences that are extendible to future platforms.”

PITTSBURGH, PA – November 11th, 2010 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced the availability of their popular Podcast Apps in the Android Marketplace, signaling immediate expansion to support the Android platform. The newly launched Apps, priced on average at $2.49, are companion Apps for top video podcasts, which in the past were only available through iTunes and Apple’s App Store.

See a brief video demonstration of the new podcast App here. According to stats from Google, Gartner and Canalys – there are now over 50 million activated Android phones up from just 8.5 million at the end of 2009 – growing at a pace of over 200,000 new activations each day.

Management believes this expansion to the Android platform will increase network downloads and unique audience counts while driving new customers to Wizzard’s podcasting services. Apple’s App Store and Google’s Android Marketplace are considered by most to be the two most prominent App stores in the industry.

Wizzard aims to convert the 700 Apps it currently offers through Apple’s App Store to also be available in the Android Marketplace over the next two months, in time for the post Christmas sales jump from the surge in new devices hitting the market. The standard base-price for the Podcast App for Android will be $1.99, with additional features, paid in-App upgrades and ongoing subscription packages offered in the near future. Revenue from downloadable mobile Apps is predicted to surge from $6.8 billion worldwide this year to $29.5 billion by 2013, according to the research firm Gartner Inc.

Among the first of Wizzard’s podcast Apps now live in the Android Marketplace include: YOGAmazing – Yoga Video App, Fastpitch Softball TV, iGod Today with Father Mike (Vatican), Driving Sports TV, Alaska HDTV – Travel Guide, IN-SEAtv, Brini Maxwell, Tiki Bar TV, Bringing Disneyland Home, Shobiz Newsy News, Pod Surf TV, Learn CS with Terry White, Hawaii Surf Session Report, Lynchland – Liam Lynch App, UVTV – Music Video App and Cali Lewis – Tech News Video.

It is Wizzard’s mission to become the leading mobile content distribution and monetization service for the serious mobile content publisher by providing state of the art distribution services, unique monetization solutions and compelling audience engagement experiences.”

Cisco Systems reports that global mobile data traffic is now growing 2.4 times faster than global fixed broadband data traffic—in the last year alone. Cisco anticipates that smartphones and laptop air cards will drive more than 90% of global mobile traffic by 2014—by that time, over 400 million of the world’s internet users will access the web solely via mobile connection. Consumer interest is surging in emerging markets such as India, China and South Korea. Demand and availability for podcasts is growing in these emerging markets as Apple added 67 new countries to Podcast iTunes bringing the total to 90 countries overall and Google added new countries and territories to its reach growing to over 64 countries. Blackberry recently launched a podcast initiative of which Wizzard was a significant content provider.

PITTSBURGH, PA – October 26th, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced it received a record breaking 445 million podcast download requests through its premier mobile content distribution service, Libsyn. This represented a 35% increase from the 3rd quarter of 2009.

The Wizzard Media Network saw two of three months in the quarter averaging 5 million requests per day and had the quarterly average rise to 4.85 million daily requests, compared to 3.6 million daily requests in the same quarter last year.

3,304 podcast shows have been added to the Network in 2010 as of the close of the 3rd quarter for a total of 16,767, representing 1,076,274 episodes available to be viewed by audiences worldwide.

“The 3rd quarter is traditionally our slowest for download consumption due to the summer but this year it is our greatest ever for download requests,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. “We attribute this surge to the continued success of Apple’s products, the expansion of Wizzard’s App product and the growth of the audience that has access to podcasts via iTunes.

In June of this year, Apple expanded access to their iTunes platform for podcasts to an additional 67 countries, including the BRIC countries. Earlier this week, Apple announced that they had sold an additional 14.1 million new iPhones, 4.2 million iPads and 4.0 million iPod Touches in the latest quarter.

PITTSBURGH, PA – October 14th, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcasting network, announced today that Skeptoid: Critical Analysis Podcast won the prestigious Parsec Award for “Best Fact Behind the Fiction” podcast, and was recognized by the Independent Investigations Group (IIG) for “Outstanding Contribution to Science and Skepticism”.

Skeptoid, a weekly science podcast dedicated to furthering knowledge by blasting away the widespread pseudosciences that infect popular culture is currently the topped ranked Social Sciences podcast in iTunes. Each weekly episode focuses on a single phenomenon — an urban legend, a paranormal claim, an alternative medicine therapy or something just plain silly — that you’ve heard of and that you probably believe in.

With 108,000 weekly downloads, Skeptoid attempts to expose the folly of belief in non-evidence based phenomena that distracts attention and public funding from scientific advancement. From the sublime to the startling, no topic is sacred, politically incorrect though that may be.

Science journalist Brian Dunning is the host and producer of the award winning weekly science podcast Skeptoid: Critical Analysis of Pop Phenomena (www.skeptoid.com), applying critical thinking to urban legends and popular pseudoscientific subjects promoted by the mass media. Brian is also the author of two books based on the podcast, Skeptoid and Skeptoid II.

As both a computer scientist and as a former Silicon Valley CTO, Brian uses new media to showcase the rewards of science and critical thinking. Increased Market Share and Strong Outlook for Wizzard Media’s Podcast Apps
October 06, 2010
PITTSBURGH, PA – September 15th, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced it has over 650 approved podcast companion iPhone Apps available in the Apple iTunes App Store, selling for an average of $2.25 each, and forecasts strong growth of monetized apps and their subsequent revenue stream leading into the holiday more>

PITTSBURGH, PA – September 15th, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced it has over 650 approved podcast companion iPhone Apps available in the Apple iTunes App Store, selling for an average of $2.25 each, and forecasts strong growth of monetized apps and their subsequent revenue stream leading into the holiday season and well into FY 2011.

The growth of Wizzard Media’s podcast companion App shows no signs of slowing now that Wizzard’s App Automation Platform for its podcasters is already operating at a rate of over 60 new Apps weekly. Wizzard expects to ramp production to reach 1,000+ Apps in iTunes by the end of October, effectively tripling the number of Apps Wizzard has in the App store from July, the beginning of the third quarter.

Currently, there are several thousand more podcast clients already signed-up for Wizzard’s podcast App or in queue for migration to the new platform. The Wizzard Media Network has over 16,000 podcasts, grows an average of 1,000 new shows per quarter, and Management believes that most of these shows make a great fit for its podcast companion App.

The majority of growth in podcast downloads and App sales reflect the Wizzard Media Network’s presence on the iTunes and iPhone platform. With projected worldwide smartphone adoption growth of 1,000% over the next four years, Management believes Wizzard is strongly positioned to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for mobile content through App sales, in-content advertising and reoccurring content subscriptions.

Recently, Wizzard announced plans to expand its Podcast Companion App to the BlackBerry and Android platforms in the near future. Overall, Management expects continued growth for the Network’s unique audience base, podcast downloads and App sales.

“We are very excited about Wizzard’s growth opportunity going forward due to our market leadership position in the mobile content space along with our industry defining Podcast App and we believe we are in a position to create significant shareholder value through our aggressive monetization efforts,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO.

Wizzard Media’s Podcast App Business Continues Rapid Growth
September 15, 2010
PITTSBURGH, PA – September 15th, 2010 - Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, today announced it has surpassed 530 podcast companion iPhone Apps in the App Store, bringing the total number of paid Apps offered by Wizzard to 575.

PITTSBURGH, PA – September 15th, 2010 – Wizzard Media, the world’s leading podcast network, today announced it has surpassed 530 podcast companion iPhone Apps in the App Store, bringing the total number of paid Apps offered by Wizzard to 575.

Wizzard’s exclusive podcast App allows podcast producers to monetize their iTunes based audience by offering them paid access to bonus content, branded virtual goods and subscription packages, creating reoccurring revenue models for the podcast producers and Wizzard. Wizzard believes this new product has the potential to change the podcast industry from a completely free medium to one where content creators have the ability to earn a living doing what they love. Podcasters and Wizzard earn revenue through the sale of the App as well as through in-App advertisements and in-App purchases of content, upgrades and subscriptions. Gartner predicts that 21.6 billion Apps will be sold-downloaded in 2013 worth $29.5 billion.

“On August 15th, we announced that we had completed streamlining our internal automation process for creating podcast Apps, submitting more Apps in the previous week for approval to the App Store than in the entire previous month,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. “At that time we announced 330 podcast Apps and today, exactly one month later, we have reached 530 podcast Apps, with 75 more already submitted to Apple and in the official approval process. Scalability is the key to our Apps business and with our automation now working efficiently, we can rapidly move forward on creating Apps for our 16,000+ podcast clients.”

Wizzard is expanding its podcast App to work with Google’s Android and RIM’s Blackberry platforms that should provide for substantial revenue growth opportunities as the podcast App is introduced to an entirely new user base.

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced that their podcast iPhone App has been approved and is in the App Store with iAds functionality. Select podcast Apps in the Wizzard network are live now in the iTunes store with inventory being filled with iAds.

iAds are interactive brand advertising campaigns with inventory sold and filled by Apple featuring a higher CPM and ROI revenue potential for Wizzard than current in App advertising initiatives. Wizzard believes its podcast App, with consistent repeat viewers and sustained demographic verticals are best suited to maximize iAd revenue.

“iAds brings another dimension of monetization to our mobile network of podcast Apps,” says Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “Our network pulls a repeat audience that is highly engaged and invested in our content. This is the optimal audience to take advantage of iAds. Since our deployment of version 1.7 of the Podcast App we have been iOS 4.0 compatible (new iPhone 4) and ready for iAds. Initial tests thus far have indicated high CPMs meeting or exceeding our current levels of campaign monetization.”

“What’s innovative about Apple’s strategy is their ability to handle the deep targeting of the customer based on iTunes data to the benefit of the iAd partners,” says Dave Mansueto, Wizzard Media. “The Apps that stand to benefit the most from Apple’s iAds are those that have high audience retention rates. Wizzard sustains repeat audiences with enhanced demographic verticals so our potential to benefit from iAds is strong. This is, and has always been, the strength of our network. Apple sells and fills the ad inventory with premium brand advertisers allowing Wizzard to focus on improving the experience and growing the audience.”

Wizzard Media Sees Market for Podcast Apps Explode with iTunes Expansion
June 30, 2010
PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, previously announced that over 70% of the Wizzard Media Network podcast download requests come from iTunes, iPhone, iPod and iPad users. PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, previously announced that over 70% of the Wizzard Media Network podcast download requests come from iTunes, iPhone, iPod and iPad users. Until recently, the podcast pages (podcast directory) in iTunes had only been available in 23 countries, covering less than 15 percent of the world’s population. As of this month, Apple added podcast pages for 67 additional countries, bringing the total to 90 countries where users can find and download podcasts through Apple’s iTunes.

Of the 67 new countries added are the BRIC countries, Brazil, Russia, India and China, with a collective population of 2.8 billion. The combined population of the countries that had access to podcasts through iTunes prior to the expansion was 1 billion. The total population of the 67 new countries added is 4.4 billion. Now, through iTunes, the most popular podcast discovery tool in the world, podcast producers have access to audiences in countries that total 5.4 billion people worldwide, an increase of 440%. Wizzard Media expects the number of unique audience members for the shows on its network to increase due to this expansion, growing audiences and increasing network reach and value.

Historically, the 23 countries with iTunes podcast pages made up 90.6% of the Wizzard Media Network’s podcast downloads and the 67 new countries accounted for only 8.3% of downloads, clearly demonstrating the impact of the iTunes podcast directory.

Wizzard expects increased demand for podcasts and App sales now that iTunes podcast pages are available in so many new countries offering podcasters tremendous audience growth and app sales potential. Initial download numbers are already showing increased audience interest in podcasts from the new countries with the BRIC countries up an average of 73% weekly, during the first two weeks alone.

“We have had a host of great things happen recently for podcasting, specifically events that impact podcast discovery and App sales,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. Spencer continues,

“First, Google began including links to the ‘Buy Now’ pages in iTunes through their mobile search results for our Podcast Apps which comes up whenever you search for your favorite podcast, introducing the App to even more potential users;

Then, the new iPhone iOS 4 operating system was launched by Apple allowing people to play podcasts in the background while doing other things with their mobile phone, making it even more convenient to consume more podcasts;

Third, Apple announced they had sold 3 million iPads in the first 80 days and 1.7 million iPhones in the first 3 days, rapidly increasing the number of devices in the U.S. that audiences use to consume podcasts and buy Apps;

Finally, Apple expands the podcast section in iTunes to 90 countries representing a worldwide population reach increase of over 4 billion people;

We expect all of these events to help Wizzard distribute more content and in turn, sell more Apps.”

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif-The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s iPhone App, Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning, today announced expanded reach with new radio and television programming deals. Father Mike’s Minute will be aired on Sirius/XM Radio’s Catholic Channel and Father Mike’s Thoughts will air on the Christian Broadcasting Television Network. The announcement was made today by Robert Thorne, CEO of The Robert Thorne Company, which manages the global licensing, touring and media program for the Vatican Observatory Foundation in partnership with licensing rightsholder and consultant Gruppo Santony.

The Easter Sunday launch of the Vatican Observatory iPhone App along with the launch this week of the expanded radio and television programming, follows on the Pope’s recent global announcement encouraging all parts of the Vatican to reach people worldwide through new media. Revenue raised by the Foundation through the App helps support the Vatican Observatory’s centuries-old humanitarian mission of scientific education, research and discovery.

“Father Mike’s uplifting message will bring App users, Catholic Channel listeners and Christian Broadcasting Network viewers comfort, peace and the joy of God’s promise,” said Father George Coyne, emeritus director of the Vatican Observatory.

Thorne added, “The App has such strong appeal it’s now the centerpiece for Vatican Observatory Foundation-supplied programming to both a major satellite radio network and a national television network.”

Father Mike’s Minute
The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s new inspirational radio program for the Catholic Channel on Sirius/XM (Nasdaq: SIRI – News), Father Mike’s Minute, featuring daily audio excerpts of the iPhone App’s Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning, launched this week and airs four times per day, seven days per week. Father Mike’s Minute offers listeners insightful reflections of faith, hope and inspiration with practical application to daily life. Select episodes of the program will highlight major world events such as the Gulf oil spill. The programming agreement for Father Mike’s Minute was brokered by the Catholic Channel’s GM, Joseph Zwilling, and the Foundation’s rep, Greg Redlitz.

Father Mike’s Thoughts
The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s new inspirational television program for Christian Broadcasting Network, Father Mike’s Thoughts, featuring sermonettes and commentary by Father Mike exploring major world events from a Christian perspective, launches next week on CBN’s Newschannel Midday. Although Father Mike’s Thoughts was originally envisioned as a monthly program, the Foundation and CBN are in talks to make this a weekly program in the near future. The programming agreement for Father Mike’s Thoughts was brokered for CBN by CNB Newswatch senior producer Tracy Winborn and Redlitz.

About the App
Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning is delivered daily on camera by Father Mike Manning (best-selling author and recent recipient of Pope Benedict XVI’s award for excellence) is the first-ever iPhone App from any part of the Vatican and comes fully loaded with new daily video sermonettes of reflections inspired by Scripture with practical application to daily life and bonus extras. It includes featured Scripture, insightful commentary, episodes devoted to major world events from a Christian perspective and a forum for questions and answers. The App, developed and distributed by Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest web series network, has been ranked in the Top 100 Paid Lifestyle Apps in iTunes (among more than 10,000 such Apps) demonstrating its value, appeal and influence in new media. The App was the centerpiece of a recent Los Angeles Times feature cover story on faith-based Apps, a lead story on Chicago’s ABC7 Evening News, a feature story on Christian Broadcasting Network’s Newschannel Midday and featured placement on hundreds of leading websites. Plans are underway for a celebration of the App featuring Father Mike, the CEO of publicly-traded Wizzard Media and distinguished Catholic priests ringing the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange and on-camera and print interviews with CNBC and leading financial and business newspapers, magazines and websites.

To preview the Vatican Observatory Foundation App, visit dailysermonettes.com. To buy the App, visit dailysermonettes.com or search “daily sermonettes” in the iTunes store.

This Fall, the Vatican Observatory Foundation will add to the App the new Sunday supplement Conversations and Travels with Father Mike, featuring people and places of interest in faith, business, entertainment and sports. This Summer the Vatican Observatory Foundation will launch a companion web series featuring: (i) highlights of Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning App episodes, (ii) select syndicated reruns of App episodes, (iii) behind-the-scenes looks at production of the App and (iv) periodic on-site production in various churches. The web series will be distributed by Wizzard Media, the world’s largest web series network.

PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting App network, today announced that Google has begun including iTunes “Buy Now” pages for Wizzard’s 300 iPhone Apps in its search results on mobile devices including the iPhone and the iPad.

With over 225,000 Apps available in the App Store, the discovery of an App can be a challenge. Google is indexing and presenting Wizzard’s iPhone Apps in its search results for mobile devices, a powerful way to help users discover the company’s Apps. Users can type ‘Yogamazing App’, ‘Gossip Junkie App’ or ‘Download Tii’ from their iPhone and see a search result at the top that links them directly to the App’s ‘Buy Now’ page in iTunes.

To date, over 5 billion Apps have been downloaded through Apple’s App Store. 100 million iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches have been sold creating a massive platform for Apps that has generated over $1 billion in revenue for App developers already.

“With the new iPhone 4 operating system being released later this month, our audio based podcast Apps will be able to play in the background so that the content may continue to play while people use their phone for other tasks,” said Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “As a result, we expect consumption of podcast content to increase significantly because now people can email, text and play games on their phone while listening to their favorite podcast. This is a huge feature that will really extend the utility of our podcast App. Wizzard Media is in a great place right now and we expect strong growth in the second half of this year.”

Wizzard Media Achieves 15,000 Show Milestone

PITTSBURGH, PA – May 27, 2010 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, today announced that they have surpassed 15,000 active podcast shows on the Wizzard Media Network. The 15,000 shows encompass approximately 1 million audio and video episodes, downloaded over 1.4 billion times in 2009. Podcast publishers use the Wizzard Media Network to reach, measure, educate and entertain audiences around the world.

“This is a significant milestone for Wizzard Media as we set this goal of 15,000 shows at the beginning of the year and we are reaching it substantially ahead of schedule,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “The first 15,000 shows were added through word of mouth, with no real marketing. We expect to grow at a more aggressive pace throughout this year as the first ever marketing campaigns for our new products launch in the next several weeks.“

Wizzard’s new products include an iPhone App created exclusively for the podcasters on the Wizzard Media Network. This Podcast App helps publishers monetize their show through advertising and In-App purchasing sales of select episodes and subscriptions to exclusive content. Top publishers using the Podcast App have converted 30% of their audience to App users in the last six months using this revolutionary new product.

Additionally, Wizzard is offering new web based publishing products with content monetization support across all account levels. These new products are ideal for both individuals who want to give podcasting a try for the first time as well as established podcasters who want to monetize their show with advertising and their very own iPhone App. The new products provide tiered service levels and features to enable show publishers to package content for monetization through one time purchases and reoccurring subscription revenues.

“Podcasters have a unique advantage over most content publishers on the web because they have a dedicated, loyal following due to the fact that podcasts by nature are subscribeable and are episodic, like a traditional television show,” said Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “As a result, they are strong influencers with a passionate audience whose interests are obvious due to the niche nature of most podcast shows. This can translate to strong App sales as podcast publishers drive their own customers to the App Store rather than relying solely on the App Store traffic itself.”

PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced it has surpassed 200 podcast companion iPhone Apps in the App Store bringing the total number of paid Apps to 260 for the iPhone and iPod Touch platform.

Additionally, Wizzard announced first quarter unique monthly podcast audience numbers of 18.5 million, up slightly over the first quarter of 2009. When adjusted to take into consideration the shift of the Company’s free podcast hosting services to an all paid platform in mid 2009, Wizzard estimates unique monthly audience for its podcast network up approximately 23% on a pro forma basis.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL – News) reported yesterday that it shipped 8.75 million iPhones last quarter, versus expectations of approximately 7 million with iPhone sales more-than doubled vs. the prior year. And Apple’s iPod business is still growing with 10.89 million units shipped vs. 9 million estimates.

“With the 13,000 shows we distribute through iTunes, we have access to the most sophisticated and engaged digital media consumers in the world which are clearly growing in size as the above numbers demonstrate,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. “Our revolutionary podcast App allows podcasters to monetize their already established, iTunes based podcast audience offering paid access to bonus content, the ability to charge for virtual goods and sell subscription packages for reoccurring revenues. Record Quarterly Media Revenues up 43% From Podcast App Sales

PITTSBURGH, PA – March 31, 2010 – Wizzard Software (NYSE Amex: WZE) announced fourth quarter and full year 2009 financial results today, recording revenues of $1,469,980 in the fourth quarter of 2009, a 2% increase from revenues of $1,440,719 in the fourth quarter of 2008. The increase for the fourth quarter of 2009 reflects an increase in revenue in our media business with the launch of our podcast App products and from an increase in sales of our legacy speech software.

For the full year 2009, Wizzard recorded revenues of $5,193,690, a decrease of 15% from revenues of $6,108,140 for 2008. The decrease for the full year 2009 reflects a decrease in revenue in our legacy healthcare business segment due to the economic recession and a lower demand for healthcare staffing.

During the 4th quarter of 2009 Wizzard’s Media business, where the Company sees large opportunity, has launched many new initiatives and expects most of its future growth to occur, saw a 43% increase in revenue over the fourth quarter of 2008 and a 24% increase in revenue over the third quarter of 2009. The fourth quarter of 2009 was a record quarter for our Media business.

Wizzard’s legacy speech software business saw a 144% increase in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2009 with revenues of $245,876, versus revenues of $100,762 in the fourth quarter of 2008. The 4th quarter of 2009 was one of the Company’s best quarters for speech software sales coming off its best third quarter in Company history.
Wizzard’s legacy healthcare business segment had revenues of $769,339 in the fourth quarter of 2009, versus revenues of $975,667 for the fourth quarter of 2008, a 21% decline. While the healthcare business segment, specifically staffing, was the main reason for the overall drop in fourth quarter and full year revenue, the Company saw continued strength in the home healthcare side of the business with revenues matching the third quarter of 2009.

For the full year ended December 31st, 2009, Operating Expenses totaled $5,724,544, a 35% decrease from Operating Expenses of $8,778,462 for 2008. As a result Wizzard had a Loss from Operations of $3,884,285 versus a Loss from Operations of $6,817,244 in 2008, a decrease of 43%.

Wizzard’s net loss available to common shareholders was $6,509,017, or $0.13 per share, for the full year 2009, versus a net loss of $10,064,948, or $0.23 per share in 2008 and $0.44 in 2007. These numbers include non-cash expenses.

“We believe we are building a strong media asset with our Podcasting and mobile App business and we continue to see accelerated network growth due to a continuing change in people’s entertainment consumption habits,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “With the first six months of App sales under our belt, we see significant growth opportunity for our podcast Apps business. This is the future consumption and monetization model for online media and Wizzard Media is delivering it today. As we continue to be the publishing platform of choice for the best podcast publishers we expect to continue along our path of becoming one of the top global new media powerhouses of the future.

For the full year 2009, Wizzard Media, through its premier podcast-hosting service Libsyn, received 1.4 billion download requests for podcast with an average of 3.77 million requests for podcast episodes per day in 2009. The audience reached by the Wizzard Media network grew to 18 million unique monthly individuals in 2009. The number of podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network grew to 13,463 as of December 31st, 2009.

In mid-2009, Wizzard Media introduced a new monetization product for its podcast publishing customers with the launch of an iPhone® podcast App. The newly launched podcast companion App for popular podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network offers audiences access to their favorite podcast directly on their iPhone or iPod® Touch, bonus episodes and other content and new social communication features such as Twitter and Facebook, creating an unprecedented level of audience entertainment.

Gartner predicts that 21.6 Billion Apps will be sold/downloaded, in 2013 worth $29.5 Billion. With the new Apple Tablet expected soon and the recent launch of the iPhone in China, Wizzard’s management believes the number of people using iPhones and iPod Touch type devices to consume podcasts and interact with Apps will continue to grow well beyond the current 50 million user-base. To date, Wizzard Media has launched 181 iPhone Apps with top podcast Apps on the Wizzard Network having now converted approximately 28% of their audience from free, to paid. Wizzard plans to expand its Apps to work with Google Android, Palm WebOS and Blackberry in 2010.

Additionally, Wizzard has acquired 15 popular iPhone Apps that it markets via advertisements on its podcast network taking the total number of all Wizzard Apps to 225 with 35 more in the approval process. Subsequent to 2009, Wizzard launched In App Advertising technology for its podcast Apps as well as In-App Purchasing, allowing for future content sales and subscription models.

In 2009, Wizzard executed multiple national brand advertising campaigns for companies including Comcast, Ford, Navy Medical, Go Daddy, Direct TV and Starz HD. These campaigns ran across multiple podcast shows, bringing the total number of advertising campaigns launched in 2009 to 93, with 22 different advertisers and 61.9 million ad impressions. In the fourth quarter of 2009, Wizzard had its best quarter in Wizzard Media history in terms of advertising impressions delivered with 22.4 million ads delivered vs. 14.6 million ads delivered in the third quarter of 2009.

The previously mentioned numbers and statements are highlights from Wizzard’s 2009 10K filing. For a complete and detailed financial description of Wizzard Software Corporation, please visit www.sec.gov, where the 2009 10K and all of Wizzard’s SEC filings can be found.
