DNA was formed by a group of individuals who are just like you. We are athletes, artists, musicians and everyday people. We got tired of all these giant companies cashing in on our lifestyle. So we decided to come up with our own brand of products which are better tasting, better priced and more effective from the everyday heroes of the world, to the working class, to the pro athletes. DNA embraces you because you are an individual. Live outside the box!


Company Overview and History

DNA Brands, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Colorado July 6, 2010.  In July of 2013, we re-launched our brand with a completely new look, logo, can design and simultaneously introduced three new flavors to complement our award winning Citrus energy drink. We currently produce, market and sell a proprietary line of five carbonated blends of DNA Energy Drink®, Cellular Citrus, Cellular Citrus Zero Calories, Cryo-Berry, Molecular- Melon and DNA Original.

We also have added three new coffee energy drinks containing omegas to our portfolio. DNA Cellular Citrus (f/k/a/ DNA Citrus) was 

named the best tasting energy drink two out of the last three years by the World Beverage Competition.


Current Management

Adrian McKenzie - CEO

Mr. McKenzie has a long-standing track record of business development, finance, and marketing experience. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, he has spent the last 16 plus years in finance, marketing and corporate management. He has helped build, worked for and invested into a diverse mixture of public businesses including bio tech, social media app development and beverage companies. Mr. McKenzie will focus on reestablishing and building a successful brand, engaging new investors, shareholder building and new product development.


Past Management

Darren M. Marks - Founder

As our Founder,  Mr. Marks has and maintains strong ties to the action sports community. He has been instrumental in the development, production and marketing of the Company's initial product offering. He has been responsible for developing all our relationships in the action sports community as well as helping to create the image that we want to convey in the marketplace. As Executive Vice President of Royal Strategies and Solutions, Inc., our affiliated broker/distributor/consultant for the food, beverage, medical and health & beauty care industry, Mr. Marks has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to launch and grow new products. In his former capacity as a consultant and employee for East Coast Beverage Corp from 1999 to 2001 Mr. Marks helped raise $11 million to fund its operations. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Marks served as founder and Vice President of Sims Communications, Inc., a publicly-traded NASDAQ telecommunications company, and was responsible for the creation, design and funding of a national telecommunication program for clients such as Alamo Rent-a-Car and the American Automobile Association. He is married and has 5 Children.

Melvin Leiner - President; Director and Co-Founder

In his capacity as Founder and Executive Vice President, Mr. Leiner is responsible for Company operations. From 2001 - 2005 Mr. Leiner served in an executive capacity for Royal Strategies and Solutions and is currently its President. Mr. Leiner has over 35 years of entrepreneurial and management experience in developing, initiating, and operating companies in a broad range of industries including the beverage industry. He has served in an executive capacity and consultant for numerous privately held and public companies in the beverage and telecommunications industries. After attending Marshall University, he founded, operated and sold Falcon Forwarding Co., a successful customs house, brokerage and freight-forwarder that is still in operation today after 30 years. Mr. Leiner was also the founder, Chairman and CEO of Sims Communications, Inc., a NASDAQ-traded telecommunications company and former financial consultant with several firms specializing in new ventures. He is married and has 3 children.

Geoff Armstrong - Vice President of Marketing

Mr Armstrong was promoted to VP of Marketing in 2008 but has been with DNA Brands since its beginnings as a consultant. He has used his ties to the action sports community to forge the deep relationships that DNA has with its athletes and the sports community. In addition, Mr Armstrong is an active team manager at Fox Head Inc. which is one of the largest and most respected action sports clothing brands in the world. Prior to his position at Fox, Mr Armstrong was a team/marketing manager at Ezekiel Clothing. His experience and exposure to the market puts him at the forefront of industry trends and ideas.

Ralph Sabella - Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Sabella became Vice President of Operations in January 2008. Mr. Sabella brings with him more than 20 years of distribution, retail wholesale experience on a management level. Prior to taking over operational duties for DNA Mr. Sabella was C.O.O. for Royal Strategies and Solutions, Inc. a consumer products company specializing in obtaining retail shelf space for its customers. Prior to that he headed up operations for East Coast Beverage Corp. and founded Coastal Beverage Corporation, a Florida-based beverage distributor. Prior to his founding of Coastal Beverage, Mr. Sabella held managerial positions at New Jersey-based Bed Bath & Beyond, Rhode Island based CVS Drug Store Corp., and New York-based Showtime Video.

Russ Rickon - Vice President of Sales

Mr. Rickon will strategically develop the Southeast territory of DNA by bringing in new distributor relationships and retailers together to insure full territorial coverage. From July 2006 to September 2007, Mr. Rikon was the Southeast Divisional Manager with Xyience, Inc., makers of Xyience energy drinks. He was responsible for all aspects of the territory's growth in nine states and over 30 distributors. From January 1999 to June 2005, Mr. Rikon was Southeast Chain Manager with Arizona Beverage Company. He was responsible for building sales in the territory particularly with larger chain retailers such as Publix, Albertson's, Walmart, Target, Circle K, and RaceTrac. He was also responsible for the successful execution of new Arizona product offerings in all accounts. From 1984 to 1995 Mr. Rikon owned and operated his own manufacturing plant that produced fruit juices selling to retailers the likes of Wal-Mart, Kroger and Publix.

Ismael A. Llera - Vice President of Administration

Mr. Llera comes to DNA Brands Inc. directly from FPI, Inc. a financial consulting company, where he served as director of operations. In additions, Mr. Llera also served as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and has over twenty five years of banking experience, holding such positions in management, lending and operations management.

Chris Mack - Graphic Design

Mr. Mack is a true pioneer of the wakeboard community directly involved in its imaginative look, feel and steeze (style). Chris Mack and Scott Byerly (wakeboad's founding father) came up together and their vision and creativity has fueled the sports current popularity. Also recognized as an extremely gifted body artist, Chris is often sought out to create and design products for some of the most cutting edge companies (recent projects include Peter Grim Hat Designer to the Stars and Erie Surf Boards, arguably the East Coast's largest surf board manufacturer). Chris is also the exclusive designer of all DNA products and promotional materials.
