CipherLoc Corporation Announces Today That Cipher Block Chaining Mode Has Been Broken With Results Presented at DEFCON Conference
HENDERSON, Nev., Aug. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CipherLoc Corporation (OTCQB:CLOK), announced today that a research team led by its Chief Scientist and a team of researchers from Fontbonne University have succeeded in breaking Cipher Block Chaining Mode (CBC). Results of the research project were presented in a formal paper and lecture session at the recent annual DEFCON conference to a stunned technical audience.
With CBC mode, each plaintext block is XORed with the previous ciphertext block and then encrypted. An initialization vector is used as a "seed" for the process. CBC is used in conjunction with block ciphers such as AES, DES, DES3, RSA and many others, as part of most modern encryption efforts in both commercial and government applications.
"Since CBC is at the foundation of most modern encryption efforts, this is a significant finding," said Michael DeLaGarza, CEO of CipherLoc Corporation, "because, up until now, CBC was considered to be impenetrable and impervious to all hacking efforts."
According to the research team, the answer to this problem is "polymorphism." Such a solution is not only feasible, but, practical as has been demonstrated by CipherLoc, the only computationally feasible, mathematically provable, commercially practical polymorphic cipher engine solution.
CipherLoc© is the first of a new generation of advanced, secure and affordable encryption technologies that can be used in commercial, security sensitive applications to eliminate dependence on a single type of cipher. Independent 3rd party testing has confirmed that CipherLoc achieves essentially the same security as a One Time Pad (OTP), the most secure cipher known, without all of the disadvantages and additional resources. CipherLoc© is the pinnacle of cipher technology, is infinitely configurable and mathematically provably secure. CipherLoc© can be run as an independent program or added as a module to the program it secures and can be implemented as both a software or a hardware solution or both and is compatible with and significantly enhances current SSL, VPN and CBC technologies, but does not require them. Operation is transparent to the end user and no new transmission protocol is needed because CipherLoc© works on the contents of the packets and does not provide a "chosen plaintext" scenario for analysis.
About CipherLoc Corporation:
CipherLoc Corporation provides commercial quality, advanced, digital security solutions that comply with governmental regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and SOX and their CipherLoc© product suite offers both an advanced Polymorphic Cipher Engine and a Polymorphic Hardware Engine.

CLOK....
New investors....what you need to know.
Business Description
CipherLoc Corporation "CipherLoc" is an innovative Technology and Services based Solutions Company for the rapidly expanding Cloud based Cyber Security industry that grows through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth and is successful in doing so. CipherLoc is based in Henderson, Nevada with satellite offices in Houston, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona. It was founded in 2006 as Cloud Medical Doctor Software Corporation and underwent a name change to CipherLoc Corporation in September 2014. As a result of its reverse merger into the then valueless National Scientific Corporation in late 2010, CipherLoc has become a publicly traded company (OTCQB-CLOK) whose implied value has recently exceeded $50 Million, a nearly 1000 fold increase in 4 years. Senior Management has achieved this phenomenal accomplishment primarily through prudent use of its own internal funds to return the company to a full reporting status as of March, 2014. CipherLoc has fully audited financials and publicly available information that is easily accessible on our website at www.CipherLoc.net.
CipherLoc is poised to become a leader in the ultra-sophisticated electronic digital security industry. The company has introduced an innovative and revolutionary new type of encryption technology with five international patents and two US patents pending and is the industry's first Polymorphic Cipher Engine, called CipherLoc. It is the first secure commercially viable advanced Polymorphic Key Progression Algorithmic Cipher Engine (PKPA). This morphing cipher can be used in any commercial data security industry and/or in sensitive applications: Banks, Financial transactions, Credit Cards, Securities, Stock and Bonds transactions, Emails, Phones, tablets, Servers and or computers, etc...
More than just an obscuring algorithm, CipherLoc extends digital security without expending additional resources. CipherLoc is the pinnacle of cipher technology and is infinitely configurable and mathematically provably secure. And can defeat any cyber criminal by making the hacker have to defend themselves against an attacking cipher, while simultaneously solving many security problems while increasing reliability by providing a single strong solution. CipherLoc represents a quantum leap forward in the state-of-the art of the science, mathematics and implementation of encryption techniques currently used to protect an internet based data exchange from interception or hacking.
It is a revolutionary idea based on the information content in a message rather than the difficulty of the key. Using advanced set theory and information theory, CipherLoc does not rely exclusively on large keys and complicated obfuscation techniques. This makes the algorithm faster and requires less memory than other forms of encryption. Other ciphers are broken more easily as hardware gets faster because it is easier to check all possible keys in the cipher key space. With CipherLoc, encryption speed increases as hardware gets faster. Thus, unlike other ciphers, CipherLoc becomes even safer as computers get faster.
It's unhackable until it gets hacked. Since it is mathematically impossible to hack it......I'm a buyer.

From the CIPHERLOC website....
How Does CipherLoc Work?
CipherLoc is the first truly affordable and secure, advanced Polymorphic Cipher Engine that can be used in commercial, security sensitive applications. More than just an obscuring algorithm, CipherLoc extends security without expending additional resources. It is the pinnacle of cipher technology. CipherLoc is infinitely configurable and mathematically provably secure.
CipherLoc is a Polymorphic Cipher Engine, a new type of digital technology that can defeat the electronic attacker by making the hacker have to defend himself against an attacking cipher and can simultaneously solve many security problems and increase reliability with a single strong solution. Encryption changes contain so little information that it is not possible to decrypt enough information to hack into the system. Thus a hacker cannot format messages and get into a system fast enough to take over the system or change messages in it. For the first time ever, the data needed to access or control an asset is safe from capture and misuse, making the asset more reliable and safe because hackers will focus on other targets instead of trying to break into CipherLoc protected facilities.
Conventional Wisdom used to protect an internet based data exchange from hacking is to make the information hard, if not impossible, for a hacker to read by utilizing a variety of different encryption techniques, or ciphers, that have key spaces (possible number of keys) assumed to be so large as to prevent an attacker from deciphering the data within the lifetime of the attacker. They also employ a secret "key" that is shared by those people who have legitimate access to the data. But, messages encrypted using these ciphers are readily broken because either the solution space is not as large as previously thought and/or the ciphers are susceptible to heuristic attacks such as a Brute Force Attack (trying every possible key). Making matters worse, "rainbow tables" (precompiled attacks) are readily available on the internet to speed up Brute Force Attacks. It's just a matter of probability for the hacker.
All of these types of attacks can be foiled using a single defensive countermeasure - CipherLoc
CipherLoc is an entirely new approach to the problem of encryption. For the first time in IT history, messages and/or data needed to access or control an asset can be safe from capture and misuse, making any asset reliably private and completely secure. Hackers will be forced to focus on other targets rather than attempting to break into CipherLoc protected assets.
CipherLoc was created as an advance Polymorphic Key Progression Algorithmic (PKPA) Cipher Engine that achieves essentially the same security as a One Time Pad (OTP), the most secure cipher known, without all of the disadvantages.
CipherLoc is achievable in hardware, software, or a mix of the two.
CipherLoc eliminates dependence on a single type of cipher. Any pool of "strong" ciphers can be included in the system.
CipherLoc has an effective key space larger than 2.5x101500 per second and that key space is not subject to reduction due to isomorphs or language patterns which can affect all other encryption solutions by reducing their effective key space to as little as 15% of published specifications. With CipherLoc, at 100 MBps transmission rates, this means recording a GB of information to analyze every 10 seconds.
CipherLoc can be run as an independent program or added as a module to the program it secures. Operation is transparent to the end user. No new transmission protocol is needed because CipherLoc works on the contents of the packets and does not provide a "chosen plaintext" scenario for analysis.
CipherLoc works using the information content of the message and prevents a hacker from getting enough information to recover data.
CipherLoc keys are randomized from network traffic and it is ideal for internet or private network use and it works extremely well for Real Time Operating Systems and control systems.
CipherLoc prevents replay attacks because improperly encrypted messages are rejected. It can use any (and all) ciphers that are peer reviewed and judged to be strong.
CipherLoc changes block size randomly and it changes keys and/or ciphers at a rapid rate and random intervals.
CipherLoc gets stronger with hardware and software advances.
CipherLoc can be keyed to local or global entropy for additional security. It has no need for key distribution (like an OTP) since keys are electronically determined. CipherLoc automatically generates keys from randomized sources so that even if the first key is compromised the next one is not formed until the network provides the data. This prevents the so-called "rubber hose" attack.
CipherLoc messages are always different. Repeating messages does not result in the same encrypted text and the same letters in different slots encrypt differently.
CipherLoc works on all operating systems and for all computing environments. It allows you to have security as good as a government without the same cost and vast array of equipment.
There is no such thing as unhackable
Let me revisit the last pr from CLOK ,
CIPHERLOC CORPORATION
"Dr. Carlson will be speaking on the subject of new research in the area of how to break Cipher Block Chaining Mode (CBC). Dr. Carlson and his research team have been able to develop hacking attacks on CBC that are consistently effective and are mathematically provable and predictable. This is particularly important since CBC is at the very heart of modern ciphers commonly used in commercial and non-commercial applications. "
THIS MEANS THAT HE HAS PROVEN ALL CIPHERS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO A HACK. THEY ARE USELESS FOR PROTECTION AS A STAND ALONE CIPHER. HE IS HANDING THIS INFO OVER TO ALL THE HACKERS IN THE WORLD AT DEFCON.
The pr goes on to say....
"In his presentation, Dr. Carlson will also discuss how to make CBC and the associated ciphers immune from these new findings."
THIS MEANS THAT ALL CIPHERS THAT ARE SPUN WITH CIPHERLOC ARE UNHACKABLE.
In conclusion .......CIPHERLOC CORPORATION IS HUGE.
So far not seeing any particular ticker I like, let alone love. Will keep
searching. There has to be an undiscovered gem hiding out there somewhere.

NEW INFORMATION ABOUT DEFCON......
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO BE A GUEST SPEAKER AT DEFCON.
Dr. Albert Carlson has just recieved word that he will be speaking at the world's largest and most famous hacking conference, DefCon 23, early this August.
His talk will be entitled "Breaking CBC, or Randomness Never Was Happiness." He has a break of CBC, which is used to protect AES and other "hard" ciphers.
The talk will take place in the Crypto and Privacy Village venue.
The date and time will be determined in the next few days.
At that time the information will be posted on the DefCon site (https://www.defcon.org/).
I will post more info when I find out.
This talk will show how vulnerable modern ciphers are to hacking. It will also show how polymorphism can be used to defeat these kinds of attacks.
Certainly this is a validation of Dr. Carlson's theoretical and practical work!
CAN IT GET ANYMORE EXCITING......the leader of the pack is leading us right to the big ship.
Good day Dr. Carlson wherever you are.

?????????????? VALIDATION.
CLOK IS A NASDAQ BOUND STOCK.
WHAT IS A THE VALUE OF AN UNHACKABLE PRODUCT.
HINT, $$$$$$ UNICORNS $$$$
FOLKS WE HEAR MANY OPINIONS HERE. THAT RANGE FROM CLOK WILL BE A 600 STOCK IN 4 YEARS (150 WITH A BUYOUT) TO CIPGERLOC IS VAPORWARE.
BE YOUR OWN JUDGE. DO YOUR OWN DD.
A GOOD PLACE TO START IS THE WEBSITE AND THE STOCK LEGENDS INTERVIEW. THE BEST 55 MINS A PERSON CAN SPEND IN THEIR LIFETIME. THERE IS NOTHING TO LOSE BUT IT WOULD REALLY SUCK TO MISS THE BOAT.

HEY THE COMPANY MADE A LOW BUDGET RADIO INTERVIEW TO EXPLAIN THEIR COMPANY.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH HAVING PEOPLE LISTEN TO AND DO THEIR OWN DD.???????
WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A NEW PARADIGM IN CYBER SECURITY. SOMETHING THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS.
A STOCK THAT COULD BECOME AN INDUSTRY STANDARD. WHY NOT JUST LET PEOPLE LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW AND SEE THE ANIMATION.
STRANGE????? WHAT DOES AN INVESTOR HAVE TO LOSE????? THIS IS A CYBER SECURITY BOARD?????
INVESTORS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO THEIR OWN DD AND MAKE THEIR OWN OPINIONS.
WHAT IS WRONG BY LETTING THEM SEE EVERYTHING. THE BIG PICTURE.
WITH THE RECENT VALIDATIONS I THINK THIS 55 MIN INTERVIEW AND ANIMATION IS A MUST SEE FOR ANYONE. LET ALONE ANYONE LOOKING TO GET INTO A CYBER SECURITY STOCK.
