By Steve Gelsi, MarketWatch
Last Update: 12:44 PM ET Jun 5, 2007
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- UBS boosted its view Tuesday on Canadian oil and gas trusts, saying their prospects are brighter on a favorable tax environment and likely mergers and acquisitions on the horizon.
UBS initiated coverage of 13 oil and gas trusts, representing $63 billion in market value and average production near 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day.
"We believe the sector offers attractive investment opportunities, with the proposed tax changes likely to prompt restructurings and further M&A activity," UBS said in a note to clients.
Top picks include ARC, Canetic, Crescent Point and Vermilion.
The symbol CNE is now being used by a Canadian REIT involved with energy.

sure.
thks for the same.
10-4; you might try my suggestions next time or elsewhere.
John
I already got filled at 1.15. Never mind. Lets see what happens after 3 or so months.
The B/A ended up at 1.06/1.07 today, you might want to pull your buy down to the ASK - or try a Market Order. CNE seems stable enough that you shouldn't have a big problem with an MO. And, MO's get traded before the Limits do.
Also, if you keep it a Limit make sure not to mark "AON" - that can hang you up also.
John
My Buy CNE at 1.15 is not filled yet. Looks like no sellers.
Its a GTC since Last Friday.
Already 22K long.
