thanks for your response ,i think i'll stay away from warrants!
warrants are like options, they can and do expire worthless.
warrants are usually only good if a stock reaches some lofty price set when they were issued as a "sweetener" -- the whole idea is a call warrant gives you a right to buy shares at some ridiculously low price when the stock runs up.
warrants are tradeable like stocks, but most of the time, they trade very thin (by appointment, they rarely trade, etc.) and have very wide spreads.
if you are going to trade warrants in the future, you need to either be crazy like Buckey (lol), or really know what you are doing.
in this case, you got nothing, looks like -- your broker will eventually remove the wortless CUSIP from your account, or you may ask for a worthless security form so that you can declare it as a 100% tax loss (if it's in a non-tax qualified account):

Warrant
What Does Warrant Mean?
A derivative security that gives the holder the right to purchase securities (usually equity) from the issuer at a specific price within a certain time frame. Warrants are often included in a new debt issue as a "sweetener" to entice investors.
Investopedia explains Warrant
The main difference between warrants and call options is that warrants are issued and guaranteed by the company, whereas options are exchange instruments and are not issued by the company. Also, the lifetime of a warrant is often measured in years, while the lifetime of a typical option is measured in months.

what happens when the warrants expire? ,my etrade account shows no symbol (ASCQW) only a cusip # 04350H118 ,it still shows value ,what happens now? thank you for response!
Just warrants. Lots of sells. Don't read too much into the % gain. No one missed the boat here. Happens sometimes with tradeable warrants. imo, it will crash back down tomorrow to 000's. I could be wrong, so don't hold me to it. But the meager volume suggests nothing really happening here. Shell company.
Sure, whatever....

This is just another one of those smallcap head-scratchers, but that's what makes playing smallcaps so much fun. Ascend Aquisition (ASCQ.OTCBB), which appears to be no more than a shell acquisition firm, soared 20 cents, or 400%, to 25 cents today, making the stock the second-biggesg gainer in over-the-counter trading.
Pennsylvania-based Ascend Acquisition does not have significant operations. It intends to effect a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, or other similar business combination with an operating business.
These are tough stocks to endorse or frown upon because not knowing what the business line is, I can't comment on the outlook for success. That said, Ascend does have $195,000 in debt and no free cash and that makes the stock a speculator's haven at this point.

These are warrants. There is already a board for the stock.
