Welcome to Alternative Fuel Technologies, Inc.
AFT was a research & development organization engaged in the design, development and prototype manufacturing of advanced fuel systems for use with a new alternative fuel -- dimethyl ether (DME).
Prior to the CEO's death in 2013, the Company was developing practical, low-cost fuel injection equipment for DME fueled vehicles and DME fuel systems for testing and research purposes in addition to retrofit systems that could be used with most diesel engines.
In addition to DME fuel injection development, AFT was also engaged in the improvement of commercial diesel common rail systems for U.S. military applications. The U.S. military uses JP-8 fuel for all of their engine powered equipment from helicopters to diesel trucks. Modern truck diesel engines equipped with high pressure common rail fuel systems suffer abnormal and unacceptable wear when they are run on a JP-8. AFT was developing a well-known diesel common rail system fully compatible with JP-8 jet fuel.
All of the DME systems were designed and built at the research and development facility in Redford, Michigan, which housed complete, state-of-the-art CNC machining centers, precision grinding and lapping, and very accurate inspection capabilities.
In 2015, AFT closed its doors, dismissed its employees and liquidated all its assetts.
