Latest News
September 07 2026 6:32AM

Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) Chief Executive Jensen Huang said artificial general intelligence has arrived, pointing to OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra as a milestone in the development of artificial intelligence systems.

“AGI has arrived,” Huang wrote in a post on X on Sunday, congratulating OpenAI on the launch of Astra.

OpenAI has described Astra as its most intelligent and aligned system, citing performance across computer use, software engineering, cybersecurity, science and professional work.

Huang said the model was trained using more than 100,000 Nvidia Grace Blackwell NVLink72 systems.

“From ChatGPT to o1 to Astra in 4 years,” Huang wrote, adding that another 400,000 Nvidia GPUs were coming online.

OpenAI President Greg Brockman has also said Astra could mark the beginning of the AGI era. There is no universally accepted definition of artificial general intelligence.

OpenAI reports benchmark results for Astra

OpenAI said GPT-6 Astra achieved a score of 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4 and 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3.

The company also reported a score of 100% on ExploitBench.

The benchmark results and comments from Huang and Brockman come as OpenAI and Nvidia continue to develop and supply, respectively, the models and computing infrastructure used in advanced artificial intelligence systems.

CME Group Plans Futures Contracts for AI Computing Capacity CME Group (NASDAQ:CME) plans to introduce futures contracts linked to artificial intelligence computing capacity, creating a standardised derivatives product based on the cost of renting AI processing power. The exchange announced the planned contracts in August. Pete Keavey, the CME executive responsible for the initiative, said the aim is to standardise compute trading in a similar way to the development of derivatives markets for commodities such as oil. Boston Consulting Group estimates that the market for AI computing capacity could increase from $360 billion in 2025 to about $2.3 trillion by 2030. BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) chief executive Larry Fink said in May that buying futures linked to compute could develop into a new asset class. Nvidia H100 and B200 Chips to Provide Contract Benchmarks CME Group is working with index provider Silicon Data and has selected Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) H100 and B200 chips as reference hardware for the contracts. Silicon Data currently prices computing capacity using Nvidia’s B200 at $5.86 per hour, compared with $2.77 per hour for the older H100. CME plans to list contracts reflecting the future value of these rental rates with maturities extending as far as 36 months. Pricing for AI computing capacity has previously experienced substantial changes. Hourly rental rates for Nvidia H100 chips reached as high as $8 in early 2024 before falling below $2 in late 2025. Market Structure Could Affect Development of Compute Futures The proposed contracts are being developed as companies continue to invest in data centres and AI infrastructure. Oracle’s Project Jupiter data centre development, which is expected to begin operating in 2028, has faced delays related to a planned natural-gas pipeline as well as legal challenges concerning water and air-quality permits. The source material also cited research indicating that between two-thirds and three-quarters of newly introduced futures contracts fail to establish and maintain sufficient trading volumes to become commercially sustainable. The AI computing market is currently concentrated among a relatively small number of participants, with Nvidia supplying a large share of AI chips, hyperscale technology companies controlling significant computing capacity and a limited number of AI laboratories accounting for a substantial portion of demand. Amazon Reportedly Seeks Investors for $8 Billion Nvidia Chip Financing Structure Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is seeking external investors for a financing arrangement involving approximately $8 billion of advanced Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) chips, the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the matter. According to the report, Amazon has held discussions with investors in recent weeks to assess interest in a proposed structure that would place thousands of Nvidia Grace Blackwell chips into a special purpose vehicle. Amazon would then lease the artificial intelligence chips back from the vehicle for use in data centres across the United States. The special purpose vehicle would seek financing from external investors through debt issuance, according to the Financial Times. Amazon Looks at Alternative Data Centre Financing The proposed structure is intended to move some of the financing associated with the chips outside Amazon’s balance sheet, the report said. The arrangement comes as large U.S. cloud and technology companies explore alternative methods of financing data centre infrastructure, where advanced processors used for artificial intelligence workloads account for a significant portion of investment requirements. Amazon also plans to offer external investors an equity interest of up to 10% in the special purpose vehicle and would not retain an equity stake itself, according to the Financial Times. The supplied information does not indicate that Amazon has reached a final agreement with investors or that the proposed transaction has been completed. Amazon expects capital expenditure to exceed $200 billion this year, with a substantial portion allocated to its Amazon Web Services cloud business for additional chips and data centre construction. U.S. Futures Rise Ahead of Payrolls as Bond-Market Volatility Remains in Focus: Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq, Wall Street U.S. stock futures moved higher on Friday as investors awaited September employment data and continued to assess volatility across global government bond markets. At 07:16 GMT, Dow futures were up 137 points, or 0.3%, while S&P 500 futures gained 20 points, or 0.3%. Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 129 points, or 0.4%. The major Wall Street indices closed modestly higher on Thursday after an earlier government bond sell-off eased and Treasury yields subsequently declined. Micron’s quarterly results also contributed to the session’s gains. The chipmaker issued guidance and said it expects memory-chip supply and demand conditions to be considerably tighter over the next two fiscal years than during fiscal 2026. U.S. Payrolls Expected to Slow in September Investors are awaiting the September U.S. nonfarm payrolls report for further information on labour-market conditions and their potential implications for Federal Reserve monetary policy. The U.S. economy is expected to have added 89,000 jobs during September, compared with 162,000 in August. The unemployment rate is forecast to remain unchanged at 4.1%. “Clearly, the monthly jobs reports are always a macro highlight, but this is an important one, as the continued data resilience has been a huge factor supporting U.S. risk assets,” Deutsche Bank analysts said. The analysts added that continued resilience in economic data has given the Federal Reserve greater scope to raise interest rates. The Fed increased its benchmark rate by 25 basis points last month amid inflation pressures and continued resilience in the labour market. Treasury Yields Retreat as Rate Expectations Shift Expectations for another near-term Federal Reserve rate increase have moderated following comments from policymakers. Markets were pricing approximately a 30% probability of an interest-rate increase at the Fed’s October meeting, compared with around 70% on Monday, according to the supplied information. The change in rate expectations coincided with a pullback in government bond yields on Thursday after the benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury yield had earlier reached its highest intraday level since 2002. The 10-year yield ultimately declined by more than four basis points, while the two-year Treasury yield recorded its largest daily decline since July. Government bond markets nevertheless remain sensitive to inflation, monetary policy expectations and developments in the Middle East. Spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure has also been cited in the supplied information as a factor affecting demand and inflation. Nike Shares Fall After Revenue Forecast Nike (NYSE:NKE) shares fell more than 8% in after-hours trading after the athletic apparel company issued its fiscal 2027 revenue outlook and outlined further restructuring measures. The company expects fiscal 2027 revenue to decline by a high-single-digit percentage. Analysts had forecast a decline of approximately 2%, according to LSEG data cited by Reuters. Nike also plans additional job reductions and changes to its global business divisions under Chief Executive Elliott Hill. The company has not yet determined how many positions will be affected but said it expects to begin informing affected employees in 2027. Amazon Reportedly Explores $8 Billion Nvidia Chip Transaction Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is considering a transaction involving approximately $8 billion of Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) artificial intelligence chips, according to the Financial Times, which cited people familiar with the matter. The report said Amazon has held discussions with investors about transferring thousands of Nvidia Grace Blackwell chips into a special purpose vehicle. Under the reported structure, Amazon would lease the chips back from the vehicle for use in U.S. data centres, while the vehicle would seek financing from external investors through debt issuance. The Financial Times reported that the proposed structure is intended to move some of the cost associated with the chips to outside investors. The supplied information does not indicate that a transaction has been completed. Update on Nvda /IonQ collaboration

My chat with ChatGPT
Yes. IonQ has now narrowed it down to 2027, but it has not publicly specified a quarter or month.

In its September 23 announcement, ??. It will be the first QPU installed at NVIDIA’s Accelerated Quantum Research Center, connected directly to an NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 via NVQLink, with CUDA-Q orchestrating the hybrid workloads. ??

My working estimate would be first half of 2027—possibly Q1 or Q2. That is an inference, not an announced date. There are a few reasons I think an early-2027 installation is plausible: IonQ says Superion 256 prototypes are already being built in parallel at multiple U.S. facilities, first 256-qubit chips have already been fabricated at SkyWater, ions have already been trapped in prototype systems, and IonQ says its first customer deliveries begin in 2027. ??

Also important: NVIDIA may be one of the very first recipients, but IonQ hasn’t said NVIDIA is literally customer delivery #1. IonQ disclosed that it had already pre-sold its first Superion 256 in Q1 2026. ??

If IonQ gets the NVAQC machine installed in Q1–Q2 2027, that could be a significant milestone because it wouldn’t simply be another Superion sale. It would put the 256-qubit architecture directly alongside NVIDIA’s GB200 system and provide a real-world testbed for the QPU + GPU + NVQLink + CUDA-Q architecture we’ve been discussing. ??

And given IonQ’s recent real-time QEC decoder work, that NVIDIA installation could become particularly interesting as a proving ground for the tight classical/quantum feedback loops needed for error correction.

I can also watch for IonQ or NVIDIA to announce the actual Superion 256 shipment/installation date.

Alert me when NVIDIA’s Superion 256 installation date is announced

Me
I’d be willing to bet it will be first qtr. 2027. I heard ( thru the coconut wireless ) that Niccolo was lacing up his motorcycle boots 😱 All the mfg pieces are in place and we own all of them. Niccolo just has to seam them up. We should be able to move very swiftly. And God knows you don’t want to be in charge of the division that is holding up the Superion 256 😟. Niccolo has a great track record for getting things done ahead of schedule. I don’t think he’s about to mess that up. With the brain trust that IonQ now has he can delegate that brain power where it is needed so as to keep everything humming along at the speed of quantum. Remember , he has a MS in not only Banking M&A’s but also a MS in Quantum Physics, from Cambridge no less. So I think Superion 256 will debut ahead of schedule.
It’s the end of the 3rd qtr today. Results out around Nov 5 with SkyWater revs added in for August and September. It should be huge. And I’d be willing to bet there will be more significant breakthroughs announced from IonQ’s other 4 divisions ie. Mfg. , Networking, Sensing and secure communications with Clavis QKD PQC, QSPM and RNG. A whole lot of shaking going on. About time we also had some news from our Capella Space , Vector Atomic , Lightsynq , Seed Inovations, Qubitekk, Skyloom, Skywater, I D Quantique and last but not least Oxford Ionics. Now that’s some delegate able brain trust. And here’s a quick synopsis
ChatGPT …Yes. One clarification from IonQ’s latest 2026 materials: IonQ officially describes four core quantum pillars plus manufacturing/foundry and space infrastructure, rather than formally labeling the company as exactly “9 divisions.”

But if we break the current IonQ platform into the nine major revenue/capability areas we’ve been discussing, I’d organize them this way:
( me… 9 major revenue capabilities!! Let that sink in Shawn)
1. Quantum Computing — Forte/Tempo/Superion 256 and eventually fault-tolerant systems; cloud and on-premise QPU sales.
2. Quantum Networking — quantum memories, photonic interconnects, distributed QPUs and eventual quantum internet infrastructure.
3. Quantum Security — ID Quantique technology, Clavis QKD, PQC, QSPM and secure-network deployments. IonQ now explicitly describes an end-to-end security offering combining PQC and QKD.
4. Quantum Sensing / PNT — Vector Atomic precision timing, navigation and sensing, particularly valuable where GPS is unavailable or jammed.
5. Space / ISR — Capella Space SAR satellites, Earth observation and intelligence/data services. IonQ now calls “quantum space infrastructure” part of its product portfolio.
6. Optical Space Communications — Skyloom laser communications for high-capacity satellite-to-satellite and space-to-ground communications.
7. Semiconductor / Quantum Foundry & Manufacturing — SkyWater fabrication, advanced packaging, chip production and merchant-foundry business. This is especially important because SkyWater can manufacture for IonQ and other customers.
8. Quantum Software / Applications / AI-HPC Integration — algorithms, optimization, chemistry, drug discovery, logistics and hybrid QPU + GPU + AI/HPC systems such as the NVIDIA work we’ve been discussing. IonQ specifically highlights applications spanning engineering, logistics, predictive medicine, pharmaceuticals and satellite-image analysis.
9. Government / Defense Integrated Systems — combining computing + networking + QKD/PQC + sensing/PNT + satellites + optical communications into larger defense architectures. SHIELD illustrates why this could become important: IonQ is eligible to compete for task orders under the $151 billion ceiling IDIQ, although that ceiling is not money awarded to IonQ.

The bigger point

This is why I think looking at IonQ strictly as a quantum-computer manufacturer misses much of the business model.

IonQ itself now describes the company as a “one-stop shop for quantum” spanning computing, sensing, networking, security and manufacturing.

And several of these areas reinforce one another. A future government or enterprise customer might buy Superion + networking + QKD/PQC + sensing/PNT + satellite/optical communications + software + ongoing support, rather than buying only a QPU.

That is the model we should use when we revisit your long-term IonQ revenue/TAM calculation—nine revenue engines rather than simply counting Superion sales.

Me. So Shawn. Relax . Nicoolo’s got this.
Keep your 👁️ on.
👁️onQ.

Nvidia Holds Talks With Insurers Over AI Infrastructure Financing Risk, FT Reports Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) has held discussions with insurance companies about potential structures to transfer part of the financing risk associated with its chips as the company seeks to expand demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure beyond major technology groups, the Financial Times reported. The discussions include potentially insuring loans made to smaller “neocloud” companies, according to the FT, which cited people familiar with the matter. Under such an arrangement, insurance could provide protection to lenders if a borrower defaults and Nvidia chips pledged as collateral cannot be resold for enough to repay the outstanding debt. The discussions remain at an early stage and may not result in agreements, according to the report. Nvidia Explores Financing Structures for AI Chips The discussions form part of Chief Executive Jensen Huang’s efforts to make Nvidia chips and AI infrastructure easier for external investors to finance, the FT reported. Huang has argued that chips should be considered an “investable asset class” alongside other high-cost technology assets with extended useful lives. According to the report, Nvidia has provided at least one insurer with information concerning chip depreciation and the expected future value of computing capacity. People familiar with the discussions also told the FT that Nvidia had been working with insurance broker Howden Re on a potential structure involving insurers. Howden declined to comment, according to the report. Potential Structures Could Include Alternative Investors The financing structures under consideration could involve participants beyond traditional insurance companies. Nvidia has explored arrangements under which insurance groups could syndicate risk to hedge funds and other alternative investors, according to the FT. The potential size of some transactions could exceed the balance-sheet capacity of individual insurers, the report said. Nvidia has also considered participating in financing consortia alongside insurers, hedge funds and asset managers. No agreements have been announced and the supplied information does not provide details on potential pricing, counterparties or the amount of financing that could ultimately be covered by the proposed structures. Nvidia Previously Offered Financing Support The discussions follow previous efforts by Nvidia to support financing arrangements intended to facilitate investment in AI infrastructure. According to the supplied material, Nvidia has offered to backstop part of financing deals intended to unlock $500 billion of capital from Wall Street firms including Goldman Sachs and Apollo. Separately, Nvidia announced a $150 billion share repurchase programme on Monday. Nvidia stock price Original: Nvidia Holds Talks With Insurers Over AI Infrastructure Financing Risk, FT Reports

Lots of great news about NVDA lately. A huge increase in the share buy back program will provide pps growth for current shareholders. The other news is in their double layer protection that would have stopped the hack of hugging face recently.

With all of the talk about the dangers AI is currently being accused of, this shows preventive programming can solve it.

US Stock Futures Rise as Treasury Yields Remain Elevated; Costco Reports Higher Quarterly Sales: Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq, Wall Street US stock futures moved higher on Friday as investors assessed elevated Treasury yields, developments in oil markets and quarterly results from Costco (NASDAQ:COST). At 03:12 ET, Dow futures were up 63 points, or 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures gained 11 points, or 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 126 points, or 0.4%. The moves followed a mixed session on Wall Street on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 closed lower, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.01%. Treasury yields have risen during the week alongside elevated oil prices and expectations surrounding the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate path. “One important theme at the moment is that Treasuries continue to sell-off with oil but that breakevens aren’t moving, with pretty much all the move being driven by real yields,” Deutsche Bank analysts said in a note. US 10-Year Treasury Yield Reaches 5.2% The benchmark US 10-year Treasury yield reached 5.2% by Thursday’s close, its highest level since 2007, while the 30-year yield climbed to its highest level since 2004. The 10-year yield also recorded its largest two-day increase since US President Donald Trump announced his “Liberation Day” tariffs the previous year. The moves came as markets assessed higher oil prices, US economic data and expectations for Federal Reserve monetary policy. The Federal Reserve increased interest rates by 25 basis points the previous week, with inflation pressures linked to energy prices among the factors cited in the supplied material. Recent sessions have also seen periods in which rising oil prices have coincided with higher bond yields and lower equity prices. The relationship between oil prices and longer-term interest rates, however, depends on a broader range of economic and inflation expectations. Oil Prices Fall as Markets Assess US-Iran Reports Oil prices declined on Friday following reports that the United States and Iran were exploring a phased arrangement that could include reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Both major crude benchmarks had risen by as much as 5% during Thursday’s session before reducing their gains following reports of talks between the two countries. Earlier gains followed Saudi Arabia’s statement that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis towards locations including Taif and the Yanbu region on the Red Sea. The developments drew attention to Saudi energy infrastructure and export routes after earlier damage to the East-West pipeline affected crude shipments to Yanbu. Yanbu is a Red Sea oil export hub connected to Saudi Arabia’s eastern oil-producing regions. Saudi Arabia had been increasing crude flows towards the port, although tanker loadings had not yet fully resumed, according to the supplied information. Reports subsequently indicated that US and Iranian negotiators in New York were discussing a phased framework under which Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the United States lifting its economic blockade. No agreement was reported as having been finalised. Musk Outlines Plans to Add Nvidia Chips to Colossus 2 Elon Musk said he plans to substantially increase the number of advanced Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) chips used at the Colossus 2 data centre in Tennessee by the end of 2026. In a post on X, Musk said the facility has used 110,000 Nvidia GB200 chips and 440,000 GB300 chips. Musk has described Colossus as the “world’s largest AI supercomputer.” Colossus 1 was initially built in 2024 to train xAI’s Grok artificial intelligence model. Costco Fourth-Quarter Revenue Reaches $95.7 Billion Costco reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and revenue above analyst estimates, although its shares were slightly lower in extended trading following the results. Earnings per share were $6.75, compared with the consensus estimate of $6.55. Revenue reached $95.7 billion, above the analyst estimate of $94.85 billion. Net sales for the 16-week fourth quarter increased 11.2% to $93.9 billion from $84.4 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share of $6.75 included a non-recurring benefit of $0.15 per share related to tariff refunds received during the quarter, partly offset by reinvestment intended to increase value for members. Comparable sales increased 9.4% on a reported basis and 6.7% excluding changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange movements. The adjusted figure compared with an analyst estimate of 6.44%. US comparable sales increased 10.7% on a reported basis and 7.2% on an adjusted basis. Comparable sales in Canada rose 5.0%, or 4.6% on an adjusted basis, while other international markets recorded growth of 7.0%, or 6.2% after adjustments. BofA Raises US Semiconductor Growth Forecast to 18% Through 2030September 15, 2026 6:06 AM
IH Market News Bank of America raised its growth forecast for the US semiconductor industry, projecting an 18% compound annual growth rate between 2026 and 2030, compared with its previous estimate of 14%. The bank attributed the revision primarily to higher expectations for memory chips and server-related components, with data centres expected to contribute to industry demand. BofA now forecasts the semiconductor industry’s total addressable market will reach $3.2 trillion by 2030, up from its previous estimate of $2.7 trillion. The bank expects memory and data-centre products to account for much of the expansion, alongside an anticipated recovery in demand from the automotive and industrial sectors. Semiconductor Market Forecast at $3.2 Trillion According to BofA, the semiconductor industry took approximately 50 years to reach $1 trillion in sales but could double its current estimated market size of $1.7 trillion within four years. The forecast reflects the bank’s expectations for continued investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centres, as well as increased demand for memory capacity. BofA cited customer orders and capacity commitments across the data-centre and AI sectors as factors supporting its revised estimates. Wafer Equipment Forecasts Increased Bank of America also raised its forecasts for the wafer fabrication equipment market. The bank now expects spending to reach $156 billion in 2026, compared with its previous estimate of $144 billion. That would represent a 33% increase from the prior year. For 2027, BofA increased its forecast to $210 billion from $190 billion, representing projected annual growth of 34%. The revisions primarily reflect higher expected spending on memory manufacturing equipment, particularly for DRAM production. BofA forecasts DRAM equipment spending of $61 billion in 2026 and $85 billion in 2027. By 2030, the bank estimates the overall wafer fabrication equipment market could reach $360 billion, equivalent to a compound annual growth rate of approximately 23% between 2026 and 2030. Memory and GPU Pricing Remain in Focus BofA said memory prices for both DRAM and NAND chips were stable on a week-over-week basis. Rental pricing for Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) B200 GPUs stood at $5.72 per hour, less than 10% below the March peak of approximately $6.10 per hour. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index has gained 67% year to date. According to the report, the semiconductor group trades at approximately 18 times next-12-month earnings, compared with a multiple of about 19 times for the S&P 500. Nvidia Targets About 2 GW of Australian Data Centre Capacity by 2027September 10, 2026 6:30 AM
IH Market News Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) said it is working with Australian companies to develop approximately 2 gigawatts of data centre computing capacity in the country by 2027 as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure increases. The planned capacity would more than double Australia’s current computing load, according to the supplied information. Nvidia did not disclose financial terms for the partnerships. The companies involved include Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NextDC and AirTrunk. They will operate the AI facilities, while Nvidia will provide its DSX platform, accelerated computing technology, networking, software and ecosystem support. “Expanding capacity in Australia will enable local innovators to develop models, applications, and agents, while supporting additional power generation projects to meet regional and global demand for AI computing,” Nvidia said in a statement. Nvidia to Provide DSX Platform and Nemotron Models Nvidia said the additional infrastructure would give Australian users greater access to accelerated computing and its open Nemotron models for developing AI models, applications and agents. “DSX is a full-stack platform that is compatible with the CUDA ecosystem and enhanced through software across the infrastructure lifecycle, making AI factories more productive, fungible, and durable—and a new asset class to invest in,” said Raj Mirpuri, Nvidia’s vice president of global AI clouds and infrastructure ecosystem. “Through our partnerships with Australian NCPs, this infrastructure can support multiple generations of Nvidia compute and expand local access to accelerated compute and open Nvidia Nemotron models, helping Australian innovators develop AI at home,” Mirpuri added. According to Nvidia, the planned infrastructure is intended to serve AI computing demand from Australian users as well as regional and global customers. NVIDIA and Palantir Bring Sovereign Intelligence to Critical Supply ChainsSeptember 10, 2026 5:00 AM
Business Wire News Summary: Collaboration establishes an AI stack combining Palantir sovereign AI and custom NVIDIA Nemotron open models for complex supply chain operations. The AI stack is first being deployed within NVIDIA’s supply chain to codify operational intelligence and accelerate the path from wafer to first token. Organizations can optimize their own supply chains through the Palantir Sovereign AI Operating System Reference Architecture running on cloud or on-premises infrastructure. Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) today announced a collaboration to bring sovereign AI to critical supply chains, starting with NVIDIA’s own operations. The deployment creates an AI stack that brings NVIDIA Nemotron™ open models into Palantir Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), grounded in the Palantir Ontology, which aim to create unprecedented supply-chain visibility, identify constraints, continuously codify operational expertise and guide decisions at machine speed — maintaining the reliability and efficiency of NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure supply chain while retaining control and ownership of proprietary data. The AI stack powering this work and its applications across industries will be showcased in depth at Palantir’s AIPCon 11. Organizations across complex industries — including agriculture, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, retail, technology and governments — can use the AI stack to optimize their own unique supply chain operations. NVIDIA operates one of the most complex supply chains, spanning millions of parts, thousands of suppliers and a global network of manufacturing partners. Bringing a rack-scale AI system to production requires the coordinated availability of compute, memory, networking, power, cooling and mechanical components. As demand for AI infrastructure accelerates, NVIDIA works closely with its ecosystem to secure supply for the 1.3 million parts in each NVIDIA Vera Rubin rack and scale AI infrastructure faster. "NVIDIA has arguably the most valuable, intricate, and complex supply chain in the world. Our sovereign stack, powered by Nemotron models and Ontology, is delivering capabilities that exceed the frontier while providing alpha protection qualities unavailable otherwise,” said Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies. "We are very proud of our partnership and its cornerstone role in the sovereign AI revolution." “Supply chains are the operating system of the physical economy, and AI factories are among the most complex systems ever built,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “From wafers and components to manufacturing, systems and customer delivery, hundreds of companies and trillions of dollars of global economic activity come together to deliver AI infrastructure. NVIDIA and Palantir are transforming this vast operational graph into sovereign intelligence — combining NVIDIA Nemotron models with Palantir’s Ontology to reason, plan and orchestrate the journey from wafer to token.” Open Models, Customized for Organization-Specific Decisions Palantir customers can create their own supply chain AI stack by post-training NVIDIA Nemotron with their own data using Palantir Foundry and AIP. Within Palantir AIP, NVIDIA cuOpt™ software unlocks optimizations and scenario planning, enabling teams to model supply constraints, assess tradeoffs and understand the operational impact of allocation decisions. Post-trained NVIDIA Nemotron open models recommend actions, explain tradeoffs and flag emerging risks, while supply chain experts retain control of final decisions. The new AI stack gives NVIDIA supply chain teams a shared command center to reduce time of ownership, beginning with materials allocation decisions that affect how quickly parts move through the supply chain. The system helps teams identify potential constraints earlier, evaluate alternatives more quickly and allocate materials based on end-to-end production impact. Open models are central to this approach. Every organization’s value chain, supplier network, operating constraints and decision criteria are different; a general-purpose model cannot capture that unique context on its own. By customizing Nemotron open models with proprietary operational data, prepared and augmented using NVIDIA NeMo™ Data Libraries, enterprises can build AI that reflects how their business operates while retaining control over their models, data and deployment environment. Each recommendation, planner action and production outcome strengthens the system. Integrated with NVIDIA NeMo AutoModel and NeMo RL, Palantir Autopilot operationalizes that feedback to support continued model improvement. This creates a governed learning loop that preserves operational knowledge, measures decisions against real-world results and improves the specialized AI models supporting the workflow. Built for Sovereign, Enterprise-Scale Deployment The companies plan to extend the learnings from NVIDIA’s deployment to help enterprises build more resilient, responsive and intelligent supply chains. Across manufacturing, energy, healthcare, automotive and aerospace, the approach can help turn fragmented operational data into faster, more resilient decisions while retaining control and ownership of proprietary data. Given the sensitivity and criticality of NVIDIA’s supply chain, the deployment runs on NVIDIA reference architectures and the jointly developed Palantir Sovereign AI Operating System Reference Architecture (SAIOS), which is supported by Dell Technologies and Cisco. Every supply chain is different. This AI stack can be deployed on premises with leading system manufacturers including Cisco and Dell, or in the co-lo and cloud with Rackspace and Nebius — enabling organizations to run AI where their data, systems and operational requirements demand it. Oil Rises on U.S.-Iran Strikes as Markets Await U.S. Inflation Data: Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq, Wall Street FuturesSeptember 7, 2026 6:07 AM
IH Market News Oil prices rose on Monday after further military exchanges between the United States and Iran increased attention on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, while investors looked ahead to U.S. inflation data later this week. U.S. stock markets were due to remain closed for a holiday, leaving investors focused on geopolitical developments and upcoming economic data that could influence expectations for Federal Reserve interest rates. Brent futures were up 1.1% at $97.31 a barrel as of 03:02 ET (07:02 GMT), after gaining nearly 10% during the previous week. Iranian authorities have indicated plans to establish a restricted zone near the Strait of Hormuz “in the coming days.” The announcement followed U.S. strikes that disabled three Iranian oil tankers over the weekend. Washington said the action was taken in response to an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ballistic missile attack targeting two U.S. Navy warships in the region. Shipping activity through Hormuz has fallen to its lowest level since May, according to shipping data cited in media reports. Two vessels transited the waterway on Saturday and six on Sunday, while the 10-day moving average declined to 10. Before the Iran conflict began in late February, approximately 125 large commodity vessels passed through the strait each day, representing about one-fifth of global tanker traffic. U.S. economic pressure on Iran remains in focus Disruption to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has increased concerns about energy supplies and the potential implications of higher oil prices for inflation and interest rates. The six-month conflict remains at a stalemate. Analysts at Vital Knowledge said the U.S. appeared either “incapable” or “unwilling” to conclude the fighting, while Tehran was “digging its heels.” The analysts said Washington appeared to be “winning the war of Hormuz.” Reuters reported that a U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports and tighter sanctions were limiting Iran’s oil exports and access to foreign currency, citing Iranian insiders and regional sources. It remains uncertain whether the economic pressure will lead Iran to return to negotiations. Vital Knowledge said the U.S. approach could result in a “Pyrrhic victory as Tehran’s economic desperation prompts it to escalate the conflict even further.” Trump envoys visit Kyiv and Moscow In Ukraine, two envoys of U.S. President Donald Trump visited Kyiv on Sunday as part of efforts to resume discussions over the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff also visited Moscow over the weekend, where they discussed proposals for ending the conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a White House official cited by the Wall Street Journal. The official said further details would be released in “the coming weeks.” Ukraine and Russia both refrained from recent bombing campaigns while the diplomats travelled to the two countries, according to the source. Nvidia CEO says “AGI has arrived” Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) Chief Executive Jensen Huang said artificial general intelligence had arrived, citing OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra model. “AGI has arrived,” Huang said in a post on X on Sunday while congratulating OpenAI on the launch. OpenAI has described Astra as its most intelligent and aligned system, with performance across areas including computer use, software engineering, cybersecurity, science and professional work. Amazon cargo aircraft crashes in Miami At least five people were reported killed and five injured after an Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime Air cargo aircraft operated by 21 Air overran a runway and crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday. Prime Air Flight 7598 overran the airport’s diagonal runway at approximately 2 p.m. local time and came to rest at the northwest end of the airport, according to a spokesperson cited by Investing.com. The aircraft struck multiple vehicles and caught fire. The cause of the runway overrun was not immediately known. The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to investigate the circumstances of the accident. The incident follows a February 2019 accident involving an Amazon-branded Boeing 767 operated by Atlas Air near Houston, which killed all three people aboard. The 2019 accident involved a different aircraft and operator. Stock Futures Drop as Middle East Escalation and Hawkish Fed Remarks Weigh on Sentiment: Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq FuturesAugust 31, 2026 9:11 AM
IH Market News Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures are currently pointing to a lower open on Monday, with stocks poised to extend the pullback seen during last Friday’s session. The downward momentum on Wall Street comes amid concerns about a re-escalation of the military conflict in the Middle East following a period of relative calm. Over the weekend, the U.S. and Iran traded strikes for the first time in over a month, contributing to a surge in crude oil prices. U.S. crude oil futures are spiking by more than 3 percent after the U.S. attacked two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island and Iran retaliated by launching an attack on two U.S. bases in Jordan. The sharp increase in crude oil prices may contribute to renewed worries about the outlook for inflation ahead of next month’s Federal Reserve meeting. According to CME Group’s FedWatch Tool, the chances the central bank will raise interest rates by a quarter point have jumped to 63.9 percent following Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh’s hawkish remarks last Friday. After seeing considerable volatility early in the session, stocks moved mostly lower over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages all moved to the downside on the day, partly offsetting the strength seen in the previous session. The Nasdaq slid 138.93 points or 0.5 percent to 26,402.42 and the S&P 500 fell 19.23 points or 0.3 percent to 7,711.76. The narrower Dow posted a more modest loss, edging down 9.45 points or less than a tenth of a percent to 53,559.99. Despite the pullback on the day, the major averages all moved higher for the week. The Nasdaq advanced by 0.9 percent, while the Dow and the S&P 500 both climbed by 0.5 percent. The weakness that emerged on Wall Street came as Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s first speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium was seen as having a hawkish tilt. As widely expected, Warsh began his remarks by highlighting his aversion to providing “forward guidance,” noting his “long-time discomfort with early pronouncements of future policy decisions.” Warsh argued that oversharing policy deliberations and overcommitting to future decisions can lead markets, businesses, and households astray. However, Warsh’s comments about the current state of the economy may have provided some insight into his views about the outlook for interest rates. The Fed chief noted people may well be concerned about possible future labor disruptions but said he believes labor markets are currently consistent with full employment. Instead, Warsh said the numbers are more concerning with regard to the price-stability side of the Fed’s dual mandate, with the annual rate of growth by the central bank’s preferred measure of inflation standing at 3.7 percent “None of these measures are perfect, but they all tell a similar story: Inflation is running above our 2 percent target,” Warsh said. “So the Fed’s predominant focus right now should be on prices.” He added, “We must be confident that underlying inflation is moving to our objective, clearly and at sufficient speed. Otherwise, we have work to do. That’s our job . . . our mandate . . . and our charge to keep.” Following Warsh’s remarks, the chances the Fed will raise interest rates by a quarter point next month have jumped to 63.9 percent, according to CME Group’s FedWatch Tool. Gold stocks moved sharply lower along with the price of the precious metal, resulting in a 3.9 percent nosedive by the NYSE Arca Gold Bugs Index. Substantial weakness was also visible among semiconductor stocks, as reflected by the 3.5 percent plunge by the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index. Shares of Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) saw a significant pullback, with the AI giant tumbling by 4.6 percent after spiking by 8.7 percent on Thursday. Networking, biotechnology and computer hardware stocks also saw considerable weakness, while retail stocks showed a strong move to the upside. Shares of Gap (NYSE:GPS) soared by 12.9 percent after the clothing and accessories retailer reported better than expected second quarter earnings and announced the appointment of Michael Francis as President and Chief Executive Officer of Old Navy. The post Stock Futures Drop as Middle East Escalation and Hawkish Fed Remarks Weigh on Sentiment: Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq Futures appeared first on US Editors. Stocks Target Flat Open Ahead of Fed Chair Warsh’s Jackson Hole Speech: Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq FuturesAugust 28, 2026 9:23 AM
IH Market News Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures are currently pointing to a roughly flat open on Friday, with stocks likely to show a lack of direction after ending the previous session mostly higher. Traders may be reluctant to make significant moves ahead of Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium later this morning. While Warsh has refrained from providing forward guidance for monetary policy, traders are still likely to pay close attention to his remarks for clues about the outlook for interest rates. “I do not expect Chair Warsh to provide a roadmap for upcoming policy meetings,” said Jeffrey Roach, Chief Economist for LPL Financial. “Investors should focus on how he connects inflation, productivity, and the bond market.” He added, “If the speech itself is short on specifics, the references and citations may offer the clearest clues about where the new Fed chair intends to take the institution.” Ahead of Warsh’s remarks, CME Group’s FedWatch Tool currently indicates a 64.3 percent chance the Fed will leave interest rates unchanged next month and a 35.7 percent chance of a quarter point rate hike. Nonetheless, the central bank is still widely expected to raise interest rates by at least one quarter point before the end of the year. After showing a notable upward move in morning trading on Thursday, stocks fluctuated in the afternoon but managed to end the day firmly positive. The tech-heavy Nasdaq showed a particularly strong move to the upside. The Nasdaq jumped 411.16 points or 1.6 percent to 26,541.35 and the S&P 500 advanced 55.29 points or 0.7 percent to 7,730.99. The narrower Dow posted a more modest gain, rising 105.56 points or 0.2 percent to 53,569.44. The surge by the Nasdaq reflected strength among technology stocks amid a positive reaction to earnings news from AI giant Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA). Shares of Nvidia shot up by 8.7 percent after the chipmaker reported better than expected second quarter results and provided upbeat revenue guidance for the current quarter. “Nvidia once again delivered stronger-than-expected results, providing some reassurance that the AI investment cycle remains intact,” said Daniela Hathorn, Senior Market Analyst at Capital.com. Dow component Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) also skyrocketed on the day, with the cloud-based software company soaring by 22.6 percent. The spike by Salesforce came after the company reported second quarter results that exceeded analyst estimates and forecast better than expected third quarter earnings. Salesforce helped lead a rally by software stocks, driving the Dow Jones U.S. Software Index up by 4.5 percent to a nine-month closing high. Semiconductor stocks also saw significant strength following Nvidia’s results, as reflected by the 2.3 jump by the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index. Overall buying interest waned in the latter part of the trading day, however, as crude oil prices surged after the White House confirmed it was not in talks with ?Iran despite diplomatic efforts by other countries. Traders may also have been reluctant to make more significant moves ahead of Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium on Friday. On the U.S. economic front, a report released by the Labor Department unexpectedly showed a modest decline in first-time claims for U.S. unemployment benefits in the week ended August 22nd. The Labor Department said initial jobless claims dipped to 203,000, a decrease of 4,000 from the previous week’s revised level of 207,000. Economists had expected jobless claims to inch up to 208,000 from the 206,000 originally reported for the previous week. The post Stocks Target Flat Open Ahead of Fed Chair Warsh’s Jackson Hole Speech: Dow Jones, S&P and Nasdaq Futures appeared first on US Editors. Warsh, Nvidia, PayPal and oil in focus as U.S. futures trade little changed: Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq, Wall StreetAugust 28, 2026 5:22 AM
IH Market News U.S. stock futures were broadly steady on Friday after Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) shares rallied following the chipmaker’s latest results, while investors turned their attention to Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s scheduled speech at Jackson Hole. S&P 500 futures were flat, Nasdaq 100 futures declined 0.3% and Dow futures gained 0.2%. Elsewhere, PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) fell sharply in after-hours trading following a report that potential buyers had ended takeover discussions, while oil prices moved higher amid renewed uncertainty surrounding U.S.-Iran relations. Nvidia gains following revenue outlook Nvidia shares rose 8.7% on Thursday after the company issued a revenue outlook that exceeded expectations. The move coincided with gains across major U.S. indices. The S&P 500 advanced 0.7%, the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.6% and the Dow gained 0.2%. Nvidia is a major supplier of chips used in artificial intelligence infrastructure, making its results relevant to companies investing in and operating AI data centres. Investors await Warsh speech at Jackson Hole Attention on Friday turned to Warsh’s keynote address at the Federal Reserve’s annual symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Investors are looking for indications of the central bank’s assessment of persistent inflation and the outlook for interest rates. Recent data have continued to show elevated price pressures, while Treasury yields have remained high amid concerns about inflation, government borrowing and monetary policy. Warsh’s comments could influence expectations for the future path of U.S. interest rates, although the direction of any market response will depend on the content of his remarks. Nvidia reportedly pauses some AI financing deals Separately, Nvidia has paused some transactions under a financing programme intended to help AI cloud companies purchase its chips, according to The Wall Street Journal. The programme was announced less than two months ago and provided credit support to AI cloud companies in exchange for a portion of their revenue. According to the report, some Nvidia employees raised concerns about potential antitrust scrutiny. The precise reason for the pause has not been established in the source material, and Nvidia could still modify the programme. Nvidia has previously defended its investments in AI companies that also purchase its products. Chief Executive Jensen Huang has argued that AI start-ups require unusually large amounts of capital. PayPal falls after reported takeover talks end PayPal shares declined 12.2% in after-hours trading after a consortium led by Advent International and Stripe ended its pursuit of the payments company, according to Bloomberg. The consortium had reportedly offered $60.50 per share, valuing PayPal at more than $53 billion. According to the report, PayPal’s board considered the proposed price insufficient and also identified regulatory and financing considerations. Takeover speculation had contributed to PayPal’s recovery from its 52-week low of $38.46 after reports of discussions emerged in July. Oil rises amid renewed U.S.-Iran uncertainty Oil prices increased following a report that the Trump administration had informed mediators that it was no longer interested in returning to a June memorandum of understanding with Iran. The agreement signed by President Donald Trump at the Palace of Versailles had established a framework for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and beginning negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear programme in exchange for sanctions relief and access to frozen Iranian assets. According to The Wall Street Journal, Washington has subsequently moved towards a policy of maximum economic pressure and is not seeking to revive the agreement. Brent crude moved above $88 per barrel following the report. Developments affecting the Strait of Hormuz remain relevant to energy markets because of the waterway’s role in global oil shipments. Sustained changes in crude prices can also affect inflation expectations and, consequently, market expectations for monetary policy. I’m really surprised we didn’t go backwards today in price. It’s good to see it actually go up today. We’re still far below where we should be. We should easily be over 300 with all the good news from them.

U.S. stocks set for positive open as Nvidia earnings lift tech sentiment: Dow Jones, S&P, Nasdaq, Wall Street FuturesAugust 27, 2026 9:14 AM
IH Market News U.S. stock futures pointed to a stronger opening on Thursday, with technology shares leading early gains after Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) delivered better-than-expected quarterly results and an encouraging revenue outlook. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed around 1%, signalling renewed appetite for technology stocks after the major averages finished the previous session modestly lower. Nvidia shares surged 6.5% in pre-market trading after the artificial intelligence chip leader exceeded second-quarter expectations and issued upbeat revenue guidance for the current quarter, providing fresh confidence in demand linked to AI infrastructure investment. “Nvidia once again delivered stronger-than-expected results, providing some reassurance that the AI investment cycle remains intact,” said Daniela Hathorn, Senior Market Analyst at Capital.com. Nvidia provides fresh catalyst for technology stocks Nvidia’s performance is expected to provide an important boost for the wider technology sector, given the company’s central role in the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence investment cycle. The positive earnings reaction could help Wall Street regain momentum following a subdued previous session. Investors had largely avoided making significant moves ahead of Nvidia’s results, reflecting the company’s growing influence on broader market sentiment. “Assuming there is no major movement in either a positive or negative direction in geopolitical terms, tonight’s second quarter results from Nvidia are likely to set the tone for markets through the remainder of the week,” said AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould. Jackson Hole remains in focus Despite the positive start indicated by futures, trading could remain relatively cautious as investors prepare for Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium on Friday. Warsh has generally avoided providing detailed forward guidance on monetary policy, but investors will closely examine his comments for indications about the future path of interest rates. Following the latest inflation figures, CME Group’s FedWatch Tool indicates a 66.1% probability that the Federal Reserve will leave rates unchanged next month and a 33.9% probability of a quarter-point increase. Inflation data keeps rate outlook in spotlight The latest personal consumption expenditures data showed U.S. inflation running slightly hotter than economists had anticipated. The headline PCE price index increased 0.2% in July following a 0.1% decline in June, compared with expectations for a 0.1% increase. On an annual basis, the index rose 3.7%, unchanged from June and slightly above forecasts for a moderation to 3.6%. Core PCE, which excludes food and energy, increased 0.2% month over month following a 0.1% rise in June, matching expectations. Annual core inflation remained at 3.3%, also in line with forecasts. The figures reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will continue to take a measured approach as it assesses inflation and economic conditions. Wall Street ended previous session slightly lower The major U.S. averages finished the previous session modestly lower following a directionless day of trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 113.52 points, or 0.2%, to 53,463.88, while the Nasdaq Composite slipped 21.10 points, or 0.1%, to 26,130.20. The S&P 500 edged down 1.58 points, or less than 0.1%, to 7,675.70. Sector performance was mixed. Gold stocks came under notable pressure as precious metal prices declined, sending the NYSE Arca Gold Bugs Index down 2.9%. Pharmaceutical shares also weakened, with the NYSE Arca Pharmaceutical Index falling 2%. Technology-related areas performed more strongly. The NYSE Arca Computer Hardware Index advanced 1.9%, while the NYSE Arca Networking Index gained 1.6%. Natural gas stocks also strengthened, with the NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index rising 1.5% alongside higher commodity prices. With Nvidia providing a strong technology catalyst and futures pointing higher, Wall Street appears positioned for a positive start. Attention is likely to remain divided between enthusiasm surrounding AI investment and Friday’s Jackson Hole speech as investors assess the next potential driver for U.S. markets.
