FREETRADE: Lance you will be in heaven especially if you run it through quotetracker.com has a mytrack feel to it.
thanks for the list, will go through them and
see if anyone offers otc trading and what kind of platform
they use..
i am going to try freetrade and the routing system
through quote tracker .com that bill sent me..looks pretty cool with that added feature..
thank you,i really dont expect much input from a lot
of people, after all these years on message boards
i have learned,it is not what you can do for someone else,
it is what can they do for you..
people dont go posting stocks to help someone else make money
as much as they do to try and get someone to chase after them...
Well, so much for myTrack, thanks for letting me know.
I wasn't aware of the 5 min marketable rule or the one minute lockout rule that you mentioned, sounds scary.
AmeriFrade gives you the trade commission free if it's over so many seconds, I've lost any kinda spread plenty of times that way, who cares about $10 when you're losing much more than that on a slow fill?
Just a thought for your new board, you might consider having a running table of different BH's and their Pro's & Con's right on your info board for others to check when they stop by. Just a thought, here's my board if you wish to retaliate:

the two biggest that i find annoying is the
5 minute marketable rule...
they can hold your order for 5 minutes without filing
you,but in the same time you can not cancel your order..
than after 5 minutes they allow you to cancel but they have 1 minute more to fill or let you out.
5 minutes for a daytrader stuck is a lifetime..
the thing is such a joke i call 2 minutes in or 3 minutes in and ask to cancel, they everytime single time they come back and say it is too late, and let's face it when you call to cancel, you are calling cause level 2 said you made a wrong move...
now the one minute lockout rule is another joke..
like today i had a sell in WNMI at .04
for 7 minutes the stock was over .04 and even went to
.0415 on the bid,so here is the real kicker at .039 x .04
i cancel cause the stock has now gone under my sell price and i still have to wait 1 minute and 30 seconds for them to let me out of my order and stock is now at .036 x .037..
that b.s put me 400 dollars down in those 2 minutes...
The computer with all my bookmarks got trash yesterday...
but here is a link to Direct Access Brokers
http://www.newsearching.com/nft/brokers.shtml
the only one I have use is mytracks
but I have heard some other trades talk nice about these

Yeah, I've had AmeriFrade for years now but just recently got into the pennies so I have AlphaTrade for that aspect of trading, thx.
what kind of practices?
Bill. If you use Freetrade sign up for alphatrade.
Better L2 and T&S and a bunch of other tools. The money you save with commissions makes alphatrade free and then some.
Unless you are with a broker with direct access where you choose who to route it to they are no worse in fills than anyone else.
www.mytrack.com plus it also offers
direct access to several different brokerage firms..
only problem is the c.e.o of mytrack got himself buried
in margin calls years ago and nite bailed him out and now
makes his presence felt as far as some of the practices mytrack has...
Lance, I recently spent a lot of time looking for brokerages that were "penny friendly" for my trading partner. In so doing, I came across Choice Trade, which is what I would look into further for myself, although he did not choose it. It offers a platform that ties in with eSignal and you can open a free demo account. Low commissions, but I am not sure how they charge for BB and pinks.
FWIW it is at www.choicetrade.com

What's the deal with a Java-based system, who offers that? TIA.
well i left ameritrade several years back and
opened a freetrade account but never fund it,and i like
the flash fills for small amounts that i keep hearing about..
but i want a java based system if i could...
I can tell you one you don't want, AmerFrade.
Even though they are one of the biggest players in the field, their execution times suck. Of course, if you want tools for penny stocks, forget it, and their charting is for the birds.
They do offer FreeTrade for an opening price of $5K that is supposed to be better but I haven't used it.
Give me a buzz and I'll tell you how I really feel.
G/L.
Nice idea, Lance.
YEP,IT is time for my lazy butt to look for another
source. i got too complacent thinking there was nothing
else that could match some of things i want to have,
but starting to feel like i am on the bottom of the order flow
when it is time to get an execution...
This should be informative Lance. Looking forward to hearing about other brokers. We all looking for that edge.
IF THIS BOARD HELPS FIND ONE PERSON A BETTER BROKERAGE
FIRM,THAN IT SERVED ITS PURPOSE
