Of course the A/S has a bearing on share price. It goes directly to shareholder confidence and the lack of dilutive shares that could enter the market.... Big upside to an A/S decrease.
No, I'm thinking of AS. You must be thinking only of how actual existing shares affect stock price, but the market has proven again and again that it cares very much about potential new shares. It may not seem to have as direct a bearing on stock price as OS does, but it absolutely does as far as the market is concerned. This has been proven to me time and again.
