Qualcomm said it expects to sell Vesper and its assets following a recent denial of Vesper's request to provide mobile service in the 1900 megahertz frequency band by Brazilian regulators. It also said in its earnings conference call it expected to cut cash investments overall from the unit to $150 million in fiscal 2003 from its previous plan of $350 million.
