Vascepa on its own didn't decrease HDL significantly in MARINE, that is, the decrease was non-sig. Compare that to Lovaza and how much they raised LDL-C, ~45%, in their MARINE equivalent.
A study has been done that shows EPA basically has no effect on LDL-C levels and that DHA raises LDL-C levels.
