Anyone that knows anything about civil litigation knows that there are countless demands for affidavits, discovery, stipulations, pleadings etc. The items you listed do not indicate any degree of seriousness whatsoever. Those are totally common for any civil case from a divorce to multi-million dollar lawsuit. I have no doubt that the Plaintiffs in the case, VPLM have at least as many and in all likelihood many more demands for discovery etc than the defendants.
