I they were doing it for the shareholders benefit, they'd reduce the A/S by the same ratio they reverse split the shares. Then everyone's dollar value AND percentage ownership remains unchanged.
It may all be honest and above board. Seriously. These guys don't seem to have that penny stock mentality. If they wanted to dilute they could have a vote of the prefereds and just increase the A/S.
