no i erred its a 3 wood. I actually use it often off the tee 220-230 down the middle with a slighty draw. The driver has always been my achilles heel. a few years ago I left driver in truck and hit 3 wood all day on day 2 in our club championship. I onlky had the 11 light beer by the tiome i was on 17th tee but I was even lol. i finished bogie bogie for 72 2 over - no beer hurt me. MY iron and short game is wicked. the driver kills me
Played kind of a goofy round today. My 3 partners bailed so I was on my own...played in 2:35 and it was cart path only...course was soaked from rain yesterday.
Drove the ball very well all day but really struggled with putting on the front 9...took 19 putts...so about halfway through the front I started experimenting with the claw grip after holing out...worked so well that I went to that on the back..and had 14 putts on the back with no 3 putts.
Shot 42 on the front with 3 pars and 6 bogeys. Shot 41 on the back with 2 birdies, 4 pars, a double and a quad (141 yard par 3...it was ugly)...
Irons were a bit spotty....hit some really good shots and some really crappy shots...
Not sure when I'll be able to play again as the forecast is calling for a lot of rain over the next week...temps today were in the mid 60's but that is very unusual for this time of year!
