Tru, more likely the MMs got squeezed with the buying as opposed to intentional shorting. If in fact the conversions were made at the low 02 level we have a trend reversal coinciding with changes in fundamental re SA/trust pay/cards even if the initial change is small re revenue. It does make sense for the CD holders not to bring it into the trips or a point of no return for new investors as well as long holders.
