Why did Ericy settle with IDCC for 2g/2.5g without settling for a comprehensive 3g license with IDCC for its entire patent portfolio.

I wonder why Kyocera only signed for CDMA2000 and not WCDMA. Surely Kyocera will start selling WCDMA handsets in the near future, right? I thought IDCC wasn't going to do piecemeal licenses anymore.
