Nieves, good article, and I think it is as the title states a "balanced" analysis.
From the article..."For CdmaOne operators the generally preferable path is to evolve its network to
CDMA2000 1X (which has similar service-enabling capabilities to GPRS) and then on to DO and/or DV.
So it appears that, as I and others here have said for sometime, that CDMA2000 1X is not really 3G, but more like 2.5G..."similar" to GPRS.
