Block 2 would become really nice if there are any kind of decent assets in it and we do get Total as operator. Maybe we could end up with 30% or so of the block.

Another question - how long do we have to find a partner before JDA takes the block back from us?

My understanding is that the other partners' shares all revert to ERHC, not the JDA. Then ERHC can farm them out again. Since we get to choose the owner, we would only choose someone who would carry us. Thus the popping of champagne corks. Now we have all this "valuable data" for free (if they really walked) and can look for a new operator

The problem is that all that so-called valuable data is what caused this situation. Apparently it wasn't all that valuable to SNP. The popping of champagne corks is about as odd of an analysis as I have seen to date.
