Honestly it's not immediately obvious to me how they will achieve an actual 20-30% energy efficiency, measured over continuous running, compared to existing units. Maybe a 20-30% reduction in overall bottom line cost to own, yes, coming from various areas. And that would be huge, it would make the products a hit. But as far as the actual physics goes it's hard to see how they can come up with significant improvements. Unless existing units are rated very generously, i.e. "cheating" on the quoted efficiency.
