This is the key. I remember Berman said they went to a recent debit card conference and PrepaYd was one of the few debit card companies interested in mobile wallet and it's implications.

Debit card demographics are probably slanted towards minorities but also younger people. Think they won't want to manage their finances from their phone? Also one of the few drawbacks to a debit card acct versus checking is the ability to pay private parties with checks. This could eliminate that advantage.

I think this is a good step for PrepaYd.
