Yes, and if you read what I posted, I said from 2003 on. There was a significant initiative to increase the NIH budget put into motion by President Clinton, and that initiative ended in 2003.

So yes, in 2000 it was smaller. I never said otherwise.

If we use your calculator, total inflation from January 2003 to December 2011 was 24.2%

The budget in FY 2003 was $26739904. In FY2011 it was $30630328. The change was 14.5%.

I was accurate in what I described to you.


So, no, it was not a rant, but an educated guess, and your figures prove my statement:



Educated guess absent facts = your personal ideological bias. You'd make a good researcher according to that previous article... like my posts, the reviewers who receive my papers don't read them either ;-)
