>Your knowledge in surviving, hunting and fishing far surpasses mine. I can grow food pretty well, improve the soil, and attempt to live off of the land to a small extent. It's all amounts to learning and experimenting.
I'll include the ALTERNATE LIVING SPACES in the iBox. Across the highway in a well-to-do neighborhood, I see that someone sold their garage; the buyer converted it into a small living area. My mailman told me that things can be made smaller, e.g., shower and kitchen area, and you can fit yourself into a small area if need be.
I have to run a tighter budget and try to get my living first down to $14,000 a year. It will be tough as my property taxes are at $4,000, but it is worth a shot. Since I don't drive, I have a good shot.
Right now I have been spending "excessively" on things for my garden and for survival. I'm aiming for nine permanent raised bed and three large growing areas. I know have seven rain barrels to harvest the water and water the garden. Here are some pics:
"Rossa Bianca Eggplant: Stunning Italian heirloom, beautiful fruits are prized by chefs. Very meaty 4-6" round fruits, mild flavor, and almost never bitter. Well suited for all of your cooking needs, great for Eggplant Parmigiana. 80 days from transplant."
My new writing table for recording thoughts and happenings into my gardening journal; bought the table and two chairs for $25 at a thrift shop. Like to look out the window at the garden, bees and birds.
