augmented reality - facinating subjet,, some u-tubes out there generated in Japan are the best, imo, for what is going forward.
The problem as it stands now is the expense of the screens used.. and the utility of "glasses" with that screen mounted inside the glasses. The pricing makes wide spread use prohibitive as new models seldom price below 700-1200 USD Then add battery, cables, computer and addons for the individual manufacurer. Recent advances in software are showing leaps and bounds from the low quality and few applications and "bugs" in the systems are still profound. If the subsector can maintain doubling per year or better, in two years we should see some exciting advances, in many aspects.
This company has the 1200 series coming out soon which is kinda indicative of where all but the biggest players are at right now. Sony has one of the most advanced, but is pricing so high they just continue development, rather than marketing their Augmented Reality.
The ultimate of course is one step higher than Augement.. and that may only be 10 years from being widley adapted for use..total emmersion.
Opportunities- when the sector starts heating up, you'll know! Feel free to use your native language here, most everybody has translators in thier toolbar.
